Crossing boundaries

Eliahs first encounter

Eliah is visiting and living in Seoul with her bestfriend Aaliyah.
The both of them are shopping.
Eliah is not in a good mood , because she couldn't find any make-up with her skintone.

' Omg, liyah how come they ain't got no darker foundation shades here?! We will stay here for one more year and my make-up is probably going to run out' says Eliah.

' Shut up Eliah, you don't even wear that much make-up, gurl' says Aaliyah with the side-eye, while reading the back of a new korean facemask the both of them wanted to try.

After having been to many shops, the bestfriends go to a cozy café in the shopping mall.

Eliah eats two cheesecakes with a cappuccino and Aaliyah a blueberry muffin with some coffee.

Everybody in the café glances at the two only black girls. Some have a look of admiration in their eyes, while others just look at them as if they have never seen black people and for the rest you cannot tell what they are thinking.

Eliah and Aaliyah are now used to the stares, for they have been in Seoul for three whole weeks. So they don't mind it anymore and keep on talking about everything and nothing.

' Hey Aaliyah, soooo... do you think we would somehow get the chance to meet BTS? ' asks Eliah.
' Gurl, come oooonnn. Stop talking about BTS. And NO. How many times should I tell you that you are probably NOT going to meet them in the streets like that ' says Aaliyah, who clearly got enough of all Eliah talking about BTS.

But after seeing Eliahs sad and disappointed face she says in a softly tone ' Hey, look I know you love them and I ain't got nothing against that, but I really don't think you'll meet them. They would only walk around with their bodyguards and a whole crowd will probably follow them and- '

' Oh my GOD, Aaliyah' Eliah cut her friend off and was looking through the glass doors behind her friend.
' What? ' says Aaliyah turning around to see what her bestie saw.
' What did you just say again?' says Eliah with a triumphy smirk and a raised eyebrow.

Aaliyah turned around ' Holy Ssssshhhhh'
