X had given Grian a chance to consider joining the Hermits. It seemed a little one sided though, thought Grian. They came into a world with someone already in it, and asked him to join them. They were a bit odd.

Grian did have to admit, though, they did work quick. Even if he had left his shelter only a few times to get food and blocks, he did notice the Hermits had already set up buildings and shops. He thought it would have taken them more time to build anything, let alone stuff on this level, although maybe he was a hypocrite. In the days since he fled, he had found a shipwreck, encased it in glass, and drained the whole thing. It was a bit lonely, but it brought him out of the questioning gazes of the Hermits.

He was running low on food. The last time Grian had gone to the surface, he only grabbed a couple carrots and potatoes from a random, more modern looking house he found. He had left a "Thank you" sign, though, so hopefully the owner didn't mind? He hadn't signed it with his name of course, no one other than him and the wind knew his name.

The winged man made a few last second preparations, grabbing a couple of blocks, the last  bit of his food, and went to the surface. The wind, he noticed, was acting strange, although he didn't pay much mind. The wind usually acted out of its own accord anyways. Grian flew around for a bit, smiling at the chance to stretch his wings out again.

The once empty island was now a bustling town, buildings popping up all over the place. It gave Grian quite a few options to choose from, although he wasn't sure what any of the buildings had in them anyways. Since the town was bustling with activity, thought the winged man, it might be better to look elsewhere for now.

Grian flew around for a while until he noticed a large ship off the coast of the island. It looked abandoned, at least at the second. Landing quietly, Grian started rustling through some chests. There were so many blocks, he thought, but none of what he needed. That was, until he found a chest containing some carrots and baked potatoes. Fantastic! This would feed him for about a week, thought Grian smiling to himself.

Now, it was about this point a person started climbing aboard the ship, only to stop when they noticed the short man standing over their chests, presumably looking in them. She noticed a smile appear on the mans face, while holding some of her food. Cleo was about to approach the man, when she stopped, noticing him pull out a sign, place it down, and fly away. Cleo arched her eyebrows, and approached the sign, smiling as she noticed "Thank you!" written on it. Thinking for a second, she pulls out a small communicator from her pocket, and types "Hey Jev, I think I know who took those carrots from your base."

Grian continued home with his bounty, still smiling to himself. Until he feels something tap on his wing. He stops, looking around to try and spot what hit him, only to feel something shove him from behind. The wind, Grian thinks to himself. The wind is the one who pushed him. It must be furious with him for some reason. If he wanted to get home, he needed to start flying quick.

The winds battering got worse as he went, and wasn't about to stop any time soon. When the wind got like this, there wasn't a thing he could do about it, other than wait it out somewhere safe. Being out in the open like with the wind like this was terrifying. Distracted with trying to keep himself flying, Grian didn't have a chance to notice an island with a small tree house quickly approaching. The winged man gasped as he saw it, but was flying in too fast to stop. Closing his eyes, he braced for impact.

-Grian experienced kinetic energy-
