"Why would you do that!" I say yelling at barry.
"Why would I do what?" He asks confused
"Risk your life again" I yell
"I was saving you life!" He yells back at me
"You could've gotten hurt!" I say annoyed
He rolls his eyes and says "Don't forget, You could've gotten hurt as well"
"I'm an alien Barry! I'm invincible! Your not!" I'm full on screaming by this point
"Just because your an alien, doesn't mean I can't worry about you! In case you forgot, theirs a substance out there that can hurt you! And there's powerful aliens after you! I'm not going to sit back and watch you get hurt when I can prevent it!" He says in a calm manor but you can see anger in his eyes
I look down " I can't watch you get hurt barry, I can't lose you"
"I can't watch you get hurt either, have you ever thought about how others feel when they see you hurt" you can tell he's getting angrier
Before I can say anything he speaks "you need to let people help you! Because even the girl of steel needs help!"
"Exactly! That's the problem barry! I'm the girl of steel! I shouldn't need help!" I yell
"Everyone needs help! That includes you! That's why what we do, we do together!" He yells
I roll my eyes "Yeah, together"
"If we did things together, then why the hell everytime I falter just a little bit, you make me step aside and you deal with the problem yourself! And you damn well know I can can get back up and help! You talk about doing things together, while you are doing things by yourself" I retaliate
Flashback
"Barry? What do we do? We're outnumbered!" I say to him scared
He looks at me and smiles " we'll fight, together"
"Remember, we're stronger together" he says
"But barry, theirs too many of them!"
"Then we'll lose together. Together we can do anything. So come on, and fight!"
End of flashback
"You are just being hypocritical" I say
"I know! But everything that has happened to me, my mother died, my dad died, some of my friends died! I could've prevented those but I didn't! I can't stand by and watch another person I love die or get hurt!" He yells
"Barry we're superhero's! Of course we're going to get hurt a little! But that's what we signed up for! We risks our lives to save people!" I reason with him
"Then why are you getting mad at me over saving your life!" He yells again
"I guess we are both too scared to lose each other" I start walking to the door of my apartment
I opened it up and said "I think you need go"
He looks down "okay" he looks back up "if that's what you want" he leaves. I close the door. I can feel tears coming up. My vision starts getting blurry, and the next thing I know I am on the ground crying. Me and barry have never fought before. I'm scared I just ruined everything.
Flashback
"What if she hates me?" I ask Barry who is right besides me holding my hand.
"She's not going to hate you" He says reassuring me
"But I've lied to her about this for a very long time! Oh god she's going to hate me!" I say freaking out
"No she's not, just explain why you did it. You did it to protect her" he says putting his hands on my cheeks "everything is going to be okay. I promise"
"I'm her best friend Barry, I've been her best friend for 3 years now. If I tell her I'm supergirl and that I've been keeping it from her ever since, she's going to feel betrayed! Hurt! I dont know how I'm going to do this" I say
"Hey, calm down. Like I said everything is going to be okay. You can do this. Look your best friends, She will understand. I promise. Plus you don't have to go through it alone. I'm here with you. We can do it together"
