After the last afternoon of those canicular days, it finally rained. Angry grey clouds were pouring all the tears they had been keeping for days now.
Tears of July.
July in Strasbourg was always moody. Old gothic churches, gothic cemeteries, a gothic Cathedral, seemed to put on a bit more of that black eyeliner in their invisible eyes that have been gazing so many events, people, come and go for centuries.
You can notice many sculptures on the Strasbourg Cathedral, monsters, representing hell. Underneath these tiny numerous monsters, there is a simple door that invites you to get inside, the symbol of entering the world of divinity and leaving behind the profanity.
Emilie, a 23 years old french girl had created a ritual when she went to the Cathedral.
First off, she used to visit the sacred place every time she felt like it had been a long time since the last time when she was there.
Second, she visited it when she was passing by the city hall, but not always, not at all.
One morning, she went there and two banks ahead there was a young man, probably of her age but she couldn't see him properly because of the dim light and the fact that he was looking at the altar and at the same time he seemed to look to a pamphlet that he was holding in his hands.
