CHAPTER 4: COLD ONES

After Misty and I met everyone I grab her hand and we left. "Are you searous," Misty asked. "yeah and why do you care, cause you said you don't care aslong as you get protected," I snapped at her. "I said that because I knew you were going to say yes and also how you want good protection for me,"Misty yelled. "whatever lets just go home,"I said. I left my car and started to walk. A lot of thoughts came rushing through my head like: Dereck and his family, Jacob and his pack. But one thing first, Dereck and his family, and how long have they been alive or how long have they lived here.

When we got home, I ran up to my room and did more research on vampires, then on Dereck's family on how long they live here or how long they lived period. I found out that they're called the cold ones and I all ready knew they were dead. Also found out that Dereck has lived since 1883, and his family might have been living longer. Ok tomorrow your gonna ask him quations, ok don't be nervous about it ok.

I change and got into bed and went to sleep.

"beep beep beep" alarm went off. I got up and change into light wash skinny jeans and a all-time-low long sleeve shirt, with some black vanns. After I got dress I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair.

Misty and I started walking to school. I starred into the woods and ran into someone stronge. "oh I'm very sorry I wasn't looking on where I was going," I said looking up to see a very pal boy who was tall and had really dark brown hair. "It's fine and it's not all your fault, it's also mine for standing here," the boy said. "oh well I guess I'll see you around," I said walking away. "wait, what's your name,"he asked stoping me. "um Skylar Torres, you," I said turning to face him. "Eric and I guess I'll see you around," Eric said with a smile. I whave bye to Eric and then turn front. "Ok first Jacob, then Dereck, and now Eric," Misty laughed. "what it's not like I'm dating either one of them," I said. Misty play punched me and I laughed and we walk into school.

I walk into 1 hour science, and sat down next to Dereck. "ok class here is a sheet of projects to choose from,and also here's the list of everything you need on your build board," Mrs plum said. I read through the paper and,"Dereck, um when are we gonna meet up and where," I asked. "well we can today at my house after school,"Dereck said. "ok but I have to drop of my sister at my house so come to my house frist and I'll follow you from there," I smiled. "alright," he smiled back. The bell rang and I carried on to my next class. I went through my hours till it came to lunch. I met up with Misty and explain everything that's happening today after school. We grab our lunch and sat down at a table. I look up and saw Dereck and his family walk through the door, then came Eric."Wow I didn't know Erick was Derick's brother,"Misty said in shock. " Neither did I," I got up to go talk to him. "Hey Eric," I said. "Hey skylar and see I told you I'll see around again," he said. "Yeah and I didn't know you were Dereck's brother," I smiled. "Yep and I didn't know you were friends with my brother either," he said. "Hey babe come on let's get something to eat,"said a girl who walk up to him. "Ok,bye skylar,"he said and walk off. I walk back to my seat and sat down to eat. "So what was that all about,"misty giggled. "Nothing just a little chit chat that's all," I said. "Whatever,but you'll see him today after school though," she said. "Shut up I'm already nervous about going to his house and I don't need someone else making me nervous," I said. "Whateve,"she said as she took her last bite. The bell rang for the end if lunch and I threw away my trash and went to my locker. I open my locker grab my gym bag and then someone slam it shut. "What did your sisters mean by that you're going to Dereck's house after school," Jacob asked. "By that I'm going to dereck's house to do a science project and why do you care," I snapped. "Because I care about you that's why," he starred in my eyes. "Well you don't have to,"I growled and walk to P.E.

After school I drop of misty at home followed Derek to his house. We crossed the border and finally reached his house. I hopped out of the car and walked up to Derek. "Well this is really nice house,"I said. "Yep and are you ready to in," he asked. "Nervously yes," I said and followed him inside. We walked up the stairs into the main room. "Mom, dad I'll like you to meet skylar," he introduced me. "Nice to meet you," I smiled. "What the heck is she doing here," said a girl as she walk out. "Lisey stop it, she's a friend," Dereck defended. "She's one of them, sorry, I can't stop myself," Lisey said charge for me. "Stop it Lisey she's only here for a science project, so stop now," Dereck yelled. "Are you guys just gonna let him do this, protect her, she a wolf," the girl said. "Well yes we are Lisey ," his parents starred at Lisey for a long time. "Skylar, I'll like for you to meet everyone,"Dereck's dad said and I nodded. "Okay this is our oldest son Jake our oldest daughter Allie then comes Isabella and Lisey and Eric and Dereck and the rest are family friends that lost their family," he said. "Nice to meet you everyone I'm Skyler,"I smiled rock back and forth on my heels of my feet. "Well, I'm Roselyn and this is my husband Mike,"roselyn smiled. I smiled and nodded. "Well we are going upstairs to the project,"Dereck said pulling me with him. After we got upstairs We started the project. When we were almost halfway done with one side of the board I asked. "So what's up with your sister,". "Well you see The only reason she hates you guys is because of the ," he said. "what legend,"I asked. "The legend on how we are this way. It all started in 1883 when I was the last born, my mom said that you were people said I was a beast, I'll never be normal, and well since I wasn't a vampire and when I was born a curse was upon All kinds of vampires, well we only believe that your kind did such a thing, and that's the legend why Lisey hates you," Derek said. "oh well I'm not part of that so she doesn't need to worry about me," I said. "Yeah, I doubt it, when Lisey hates someone she hates someone,"Derek laughed. "Oh shit, I have to go, bye,"I said in ran outside. I hopped in my car and drove home. Before I drove home I called Jacob and told him to meet me at the school to talk.

15 minutes later I was at the school. Jacob drove up and got out of his car and into mine. "What do you want to talk about," he asked. " well Derek told me a legend about vampires,"I said."wait he left out the other part, the part about us,"he explain. "What, go on," I demanded. "Okay well you know that Derek was born a vampire right,"he asked, I nodded. "Well the beast part was right, we wolves have special powers and well Derek was a beast but not yet,"he went on. "So that doesn't mean you need to curse them,"I snapped. "Oh sky, we didn't curse them and why would we curse them when we've got cursed too,"he explained to me again. "oh, wow I'm sorry I didn't know,"I look down. "well a witch didn't like that Derek was who he is, so they turn them into a vampire and that was how we were cursed, and it was only vampires and werewolves,"he finished. "i'm sorry again for judging you and everything,"I said a look down. "Hey it's okay, don't worry about it,"he grabbed my chin and pulled it up so that it was facing him. I didn't know how amazing his eyes were berfore. he leaned in, then I'm Lean in. We made beauty or made out.

(A/n): about the whole grabbing the chin thing, I tried to make them do like what they do in movies wham the girl is sad and the guy try's to cheer her up my something sweet but to sweet so they can kiss him lol
