Reading a book

Reading books can be fun.
But it's not nice to read under the sun,
It gets too bright for your eyes,
It is then I realise.

Finding a nice shade to read is best,
That's where I study for my upcoming test,
It's a little place just for me,
Where the flowers and plants are lively and green.

Listening the birds chirp, singing their tune
Is when I feel relax and content,
Hoping it won't end soon.

Reading the pages bit by bit,
Feels like watching the story unfold while I sit,
The sun went down and the moon and stars came out.
That's where fireflies' light shines without a doubt.
I enjoyed reading while the fireflies fly around,
I checked my watch and gave it a frown,
Feeling sad that I have to leave my place.

I walked away, a book in hand, in a slow pace
Looking back and said farewell...
To my peaceful place...
That I know too well...
