A/N: Same intro/header/thing as the last chapter. Also, Loki isn't dead, he isn't trying to kill anyone, he's met Peter before, and everyone trusts him.

Peter was sitting quietly in class when all of a sudden, his phone rang from deep inside his bag. He gulped, digging it out as it played the special ringtone he'd assigned to the Avengers tower's home phone number.
His teacher's beady eyes locked onto the device in Peter's hand, and he said, "If a call from this person is so important, Mr. Parker, why don't you put them on speakerphone so the whole class can hear what they have to say?"
Worried that this could go horribly wrong and expose loads of secrets, Peter braced himself and hit speakerphone.
Loki's voice filled the classroom. "Hello, Son of Parker," he whispered, "It's happening. We need you over here as soon as possible - grab your suit and web shooters on the way."
"Um," Peter said loudly, every eye in the room focused on him, "Hello, Mr ... Smithson. You're on speakerphone in front of my whole class."
Loki barely paused. Peter had to give it to him - the god was excellent at lying. Thank goodness it hadn't been Thor calling.
"Yes, well, hello, Peter's class," Loki said dismissively, then sighed, "Honestly Peter, have you forgotten already?"
"About what?" Peter asked, stalling for time.
"The costume party, of course," Loki exclaimed quietly, "We can't pull this off without our cosplay Spider-Man! Tell me; did you have to repaint your entire suit again? That was a nightmare."
Peter laughed, "No, don't worry, Mr. Smithson." he glanced at his teacher, "Can you give my teacher verbal permission for me to leave?"
"Of course," Loki said, then raised his voice a bit, "Peter will be coming with me. I am outside his school, ready to pick him up."
"Y-yes," Peter's teacher choked out, "Sure. Fine. You're dismissed, Mr. Parker."
"Thank you, sir!" Peter exclaimed, grabbing his bag. After muttering a quick goodbye to Ned, he swiftly exited the classroom, taking Loki off speakerphone.
"You're good," Peter muttered into his phone as he left the building, "That was a close one."
"Mr. Smithson?" Loki drawled, "Seriously?"
"I'm sorry!" Peter said defensively, "It was the only name I could think of!"
Loki chuckled, and Peter asked, "Nerf war?"
"Indeed," the god responded, earning an eye-roll from the young boy.
"You couldn't even wait 'till I was out of school?" he whined as he entered his usual alleyway. Loki had - of course - not been outside. The god in question was crouched in the penthouse's kitchen, talking to Peter through the communal phone.
"It wasn't my decision," Loki muttered dryly, then added, "And I'm pretty sure the others just didn't want to lose to you again."
"Of course they didn't," Peter rolled his eyes as he pulled out his suit, "I'm gonna get my suit on, then I'll transfer you to Karen."
"No need," Loki murmured, "Someone's here. I have to go. Goodbye, Man of Spiders." He hung up, then quietly snuck out of the kitchen.
Peter changed quickly into his suit, then swung his way towards the Avengers tower.

It was a tradition to hold a Nerf war every time the Asgardians came to visit. During the first game which Loki joined, the god in question had simply turned into a horsefly until there was only one other person left. He'd then transformed back into a human and shot them from behind.
