End of the Stars #1 Lightning Storm

Chapter 1

MoonKit woke up to RoseKit's snoring. The nursery was so full! MoonKit saw morning light beaming onto IceKit. MoonKit tiptoed over all the sleeping queens and kits. She ran out of the den, and stumbled across the clearing. RedPaw was watching her and burst out laughing. MoonKit ignored him and got up. RedPaw went next to MoonKit and nudged her with his side. MoonKit fell again but this time she growled "Stop!". "Getting hissy now lil' kitty?", He teased. MoonKit unseathed her claws and scraped them on the stone rocks, hard. Then she felt her part of her claw come off. "Ow!", MoonKit squeaked. "RedPaw! Don't tease her!", LilyHeart said as she went up to her apprentice. "Do you want to clean the elders until your a warrior? Everyday?", LilyHeart scolded. RedPaw crouched down. "Of course, I'll st-", He started. "Then start hunting for your clan!", LilyHeart hissed. RedPaw bounded off towards the forest as he was next to BloodStripe. "Your claw is chipped", LilyHeart noticed. "Go to JayFeather and see what he can do". MoonKit started forward to the medicine cat den to see JayFeather organizing herbs. "What do you want?", He said looking at the herbs. "My claw got chipped", MoonKit said. "Nothing to serious, just don't unsheath your claws for a while", He said. MoonKit dipped her head and looked into the forest. She felt like, like something was waiting in there for her, something trying to-. "BloodStripe is holding off RiverClan warriors!", yowled RedPaw as VenusPaw came rushing out after him. "Fetch a patrol!", StormCloud said as he ran up to them. When RedPaw accidentally touched his tail on her, MoonKit saw BloodStripe on the ground as a black she-cat was scratching her belly. MoonKit opened her eyes and saw the patrol running out into the forest. MoonKit looked behind her, the nursery was still quiet! MoonKit ran into the forest and followed VenusPaw's scent. She saw the black she-cat coming straight towards her. MoonKit hissed as the she-cat was circling her, grinning. "What are you doing on RiverClan territory?", She hissed. "My clanmates are-", but the she-cat lifted her up by the scruff and started towards a camp. MoonKit screeched but then felt scents overwhelm her. The black she-Cat let go of her and MoonKit dropped on the ground. A pale ginger she-cat was staring at her. "I found this kit on our territory", the she-cat hissed. "FangPaw, it's just a kit", started a silver tabby tom. Then a cat that looked like the leader stepped forward, "MoonKit?", the Tom said curiously. MoonKit backed away, "How do you know my name?". Then a pale ginger she-cat stepped in front of MoonKit. "Its obviously a kit that has-", The pale ginger she-cat was cut off by LilyHeart clawing the she-cat's back. MoonKit felt like she knew the pale she-cat very well. MoonKit closed her eyes and ran as far as she could away from the fight, to find herself back in the camp. "MoonKit! Are you ok?", BluePool said rushing over. "I-I went into the forest", MoonKit stammered. BluePool scolded her with a stern look and clawed MoonKit's ear. "Im ashamed of a kit that can't behave itself!", BluePool said and stomped off towards the Nursery with MoonKit dangling in her mouth. BluePool let go of MoonKit. With a thump, MoonKit landed on the ground. MoonKit padded over as her mother started licking her with a rough tounge. MoonKit started to close her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

MoonKit woke up in a forest, She kept padding forward to see the ground was, clouds? MoonKit sat down at the edge of the clouds and saw JayFeather healing VenusPaw with herbs and such. BrambleStar was weary and kept losing his balance as he walked to the fresh-kill pile. MoonKit wondered what his old mate, SquirrelFlight, looked like. But MoonKit knew that now he loved RainHeart. She had heard RainHeart was once a tough kittypet/rouge named Jessy, and how she came when there was a flood in the ThunderClan camp, when BrambleStar first became leader. "And what are you doing here MoonKit?",said a voice. MoonKit whipped around and saw a cream she-cat with fading black and a flowing tail. "My name is WhiteDream, I'm your father's mother", the she-cat said as she padded next to her and sat down. "Where am I?", MoonKit asked. "Your in StarClan, little one", said WhiteDream. "Am I dead!?", MoonKit gasped. "No, little one, your visiting", WhiteDream reassured her. "Why? Is this a dream?", MoonKit asked, but WhiteDream ignored her. "Would you like to see FireStar?", WhiteDream asked. "Yes please!", MoonKit squeaked, jumping to her feet as she stared wide-eyed. A Tom that looked like his pelt was like fire appeared. "F-FireStar?", MoonKit gasped. The Tom looked down at the kit about to say something but WhiteDream gave him a look. "Are you FireStar?", MoonKit asked curiously. "Yes, but close your eyes, you must go back to your clan", He said. MoonKit closed her eyes and realized her eyes were open when she was in the Nursery. She heard a voice outside the den, "I'll check inside the nursery one more time", said a voice that sounded like VenusPaw. "I hope she doesn't think this punishment will be taken easily", growled a voice that sounded like BluePool. "I promise, we'll find her", said another voice that sounded like BrambleStar. Then, VenusPaw padded in and gasped, "MoonKit!?". MoonKit looked curiously at VenusPaw, "I didn't go anywhere, I just had a dream, and I stayed here the whole night", explained MoonKit. VenusPaw picked her up by the scruff and dashed outside. "MoonKit!", BluePool growled as she padded over to her. "Where have you been?", She growled. "I was in the nursery the whole time though!", MoonKit said as she faced BrambleStar. JayFeather was standing next to him, and they exchanged glances. StreamKit ran over to MoonKit. "Where have you been? On an adventure!?", He squeaked. "We're you on an adventure, MoonKit?", BluePool growled. "I told you, I was in the Nursery THE WHOLE TIME!", MoonKit hissed. "You don't hiss at your mother", BluePool snarled as she picked MoonKit up by the scruff. "MoonKit, don't lie, you obviously weren't in the Nursery", BrambleStar said calmly. "BluePool, you may choose her punishment", BrambleStar said turning to BluePool. MoonKit hissed in annoyance. "I was in the Nursery!", MoonKit shrieked at them. "I already picked one out", BluePool growled. Are they ignoring me!? ,thought MoonKit as she looked at BluePool. "MoonKit, you will take care of JayFeather, by giving him food, fresh moss that the apprentices collect, everything he says you to do, and also, you will be confined to the Nursery only when you are not with JayFeather", She said. MoonKit stared angrily at her mother. JayFeather grinned and said, "Let me check you for ticks or fleas, before you come in my den", He said as he beckoned her over to his den. Before MoonKit went into the Medicine Cat den she shot an angry glance at BluePool, while StreamKit looked confused. "Well, come on!", JayFeather said, waking MoonKit from her thoughts. MoonKit went into his den and sat down. "Same thing happened to me when I was little, I fell hard, and LeafPool had told me to stay in here, after we had gone Fox hunting", He said chuckling at the memory. MoonKit giggled. "Were you really in the Nursery this whole time?", He asked. "Yes!", MoonKit said as JayFeather checked her for fleas and ticks. "Stay still!", He said. "I had a dream, I saw FireStar, and a cat named WhiteDream, who said I was in StarClan, and she said she is my kin" ,MoonKit said. "And I was looking down from the clouds and saw you treating VenusPaw with herbs", She added. JayFeather looked at her curiously. "Your like me, when I was one of the three", JayFeather said. "I know you already have an apprentice, but can I come help you do stuff some times? I mean, I don't want to be a Medicine Cat, but it seems you could help me", MoonKit said. "Sure, it's already your punishment too", He said and stopped searching her for fleas and ticks. "Your all set, not a single flea or tick", JayFeather said impressed. "I try my best to keep my fur as clean as possible", MoonKit said puffing out her chest. "Well, go fetch me a mouse, would ya'?" "Sure!", MoonKit said, padding out to the fresh-kill pile and searched the pile for a mouse. MoonKit saw BlizzardPaw run into the clearing. "RiverClan is attacking!", She yowled. EveryCat came out of their dens. "LilyHeart, RainHeart, LionBlaze, IvyPool, DuskWhisker, StarFall, WaterTail, BlazeTail, go now! I will go with, where's StormCloud?", BrambleStar started ordering. "He's out there defending us!", BlizzardPaw said. "RedPaw,StonePaw,VenusPaw, go with", He said.
