*Lydia's POV*
"Matthew, STOP IT!" I yelled at my brother, shoving him away from me. "You're so annoying" I mumbled, rolling my eyes.
"Would you chill for a sec?" He replied, while keeping his eyes glued to the tv. He moved with the xbox controller in his hands, as if it would somehow help him win the game.
"But you're cheating!! You can't just stand in front of me, you know that's not fair" I answered, my voice only growing louder.
"I WON!" Matthew screamed, fist pumping the air.
"Wow. I wonder why." My friend Brooke said, walking into the room, sarcasm evident in her voice.
Matthew rolled his eyes. "Shut up Brooksie" He said walking by her.
"You know I hate when you call me that." She crossed her arms and dodged him when he tried brushing past her.
"Yeah but it suits you" he said ruffling her hair. He then walked up the stairs, closing the door behind him.
"I don't understand him. He's so bipolar" I stated laughing as Brooke tried fixing her burgundy hair.
She said something under her breath as she plopped down next to me.
"Do you know what time Kathryn and Violet are getting here?" I asked Brooke.
"I mean they should be here any minute, they both left their houses around the same time I did" Brooke answered, shrugging her shoulders.
"Can you help me set up then, before they get here? Because you know when they do, we're going to be really unproductive" I told, while braiding my long, dark brown hair.
"Yup." Brooke stood up, and helped me make the extra beds we had in the basement, so they were ready when we had to crash. There were two sets of bunk beds, and each of us had one assigned. I had top, Kathryn was under me, and on the other one, Violet had the top bunk, Brooke had the bottom one.
"WE HAVE ARRIVED!" Kathryn yelled as she stomped down the stairs.
"Heeey!" I ran over to her and hugged her, then Violet.
"What candy do you have today?" Violet asked Brooke, who was sitting on her bed, using her phone.
"uhmmm I brought kit-kats, sour patch kids, twix bars, gummy worms, and jolly ranchers" She responded, as she threw the candy to the floor in front of us.
"SWEET" Kathryn said, immediately going for the jolly ranchers.
"Yeah. literally." Brooke smirked, then broke into laughter. We all stared at her until she collected herself.
"C'mon guys. That was a good one." We all shot her a glare and rolled our eyes.
"IT WAS!" she exclaimed.
"ANYWAYS! What do you guys want to do? We can play video games, watch a movie or something, just hang out, whatever, the usual" I said monotonously, since we do the same thing every time.
"Let's start with video games this time" Violet answered, as we all nodded. We walked over to the couch, and I slipped Just Dance into the xbox. I started the game up, before Brooke abruptly stood.
"WAIT. You guys can start without me if you want but I'm going to change into my pajamas first." She then walked out of the room and towards the bathroom, holding pajamas in her hands.
"Yeah, I'm going to change after her." Kathryn nodded towards the door.
"same. We might as well all change because I'm not risking falling asleep in leggings again. So. uncomfortable." Violet continued, as I burst out laughing.
