It was the perfect Saturday morning. Colin smiled to himself  as he flipped over the last two pancakes. He was glad he finally had the day off to spend time with Casey. They made plans to paint the nursery and make a trip to IKEA to pick out a crib. But first he was going to surprise her with a nice pancake breakfast in bed. He also made her some turkey bacon, veggie scrambled eggs, and a cup of decaffeinated coffee. Colin smiled to himself as he strategically placed the items on a tray.

This week has been a great one, especially since Casey hormones have gotten the best of her. She was usually calm and mellowed, one of the things he loved most about her. Now, her mood went back and forth. Some days Casey could be really grumpy.  Just him being in the room was enough to aggravate her. And on other days, she couldn't seem to get enough of him. Not  that he actually minded it.

Colin grabbed the tray and headed up the stairs to his bedroom. He pushed open the door and smiled to himself. Casey was still asleep, but somehow rolled to his side and hugged up with his pillow.

Her hand rested on top of her belly which stuck out from underneath her 49er sleep shirt. Long, raven hair was strewn about resembling a halo. Casey was unbelievably gorgeous and Colin wondered how he got so lucky to have her.

Sitting the breakfast tray on a nightstand, Colin gently hoovered over his wife and placed a soft kiss on her cheek. Casey stirred and her mouth curved into a smile. She slowly opened her eyes to meet the warm brown ones of her husband.

"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty." Colin whispered against her lips.

"Morning." Casey breathed before closing the gap and kissing him. After what seemed like forever, Colin reluctantly pulled away almost forgetting the food he prepared.

"I made you breakfast, sweetie." He smiled as he picked the tray up and sat it in front of Casey.

"Babe, you didn't have to do this." Casey said thankfully as she eyed the scrumptious looking plate in front of her. She sat up and folded her legs Indian style, which always amazed Colin. How could she do that pregnant?

Colin watched as she took a couple bites of her breakfast. Another one of Casey's changes was her appetite. Usually, Casey could eat. Since getting pregnant however, she developed a lost of appetite and sometimes wouldn't eat anything for hours.

At her last OB appointment they learned she was losing weight instead of gaining, which didn't sit well with Colin. So every chance he got he made sure that she ate something.

"Kap, this is really good but I'm full." Casey stated pushing the tray away and patting her tummy. Colin frowned at the hefty amount of food that was still on the plate. He started to ask her to eat a little more but decided against it.; he didn't want an arguement. He silently grabbed the tray and took it to the kitchen.

Casey smiled to herself as she leaned back into the pillows. She was feeling the happiest she'd felt in weeks and it was thanks to her husband. In her ever changing state, he'd been very patient with her. Whenever she cried or whined about anything, Colin just bit his tongue and let her vent. Then he'd cuddle her and tell her everything would be alright. She knew she could be annoying at times, and she was grateful he didn't put her down.

Colin returned a short time later, getting back into the bed with his wife.

"What time did you want to go get the crib today?" He asked, gathering Casey closer to him.

Casey thought for a minute. She really didn't want to get out of bed at all. She just wanted to laze around and hold her husband.

She snuggled her face into his neck and breathed him in. Dove soap and Axe.
"Can we go tomorrow, Babe? I really just want to stay here and chill."

Colin smiled, his pearly whites sparkling. "Anything for you."
