Not really gone

Chapter 7

They both acted like I wasn't even there, they wouldn't drop the death-stares.

"Ok I've just about had enough!" I ripped my arms away from them.

The both opened their mouths to say something but I continued in frustration.

"I have had the weirdest things happen to me and I don't think I can handle it! Especially after all the horrors of losing my family, and neither of you two seem to care!" I swallowed all my anger and grief to yet again continue.

"And you!!" I said pointing at Gunnar. "you have a lot of explaining to do!!"

Alex lifted his brows and smirked, enraging me even more.

"Oh don't think I forgot about you!"

I said turning from a disappointed Gunnar to a now stunned Alex.

"You think you can just walk in here and expect me to go with you, all because you've come to save me, from I don't even know what." I paused, but not long enough for either of them to talk.

"Do you have any idea what has happened to me today? I've turned into a wolf, passed out, witnessed an almost fight between my ex and his friend against Gunnar. And then to put the cherry on top my brother, THE ONLY FAMILY I HAVE LEFT, is in the hospital right now fighting for his life!"

They both were speechless, looking down at their feet. Them still not saying anything I took as my q to leave.

"That's what I thought, now if you'll excuse me I have a science class to attend."

And with that I left them standing there dumbstruck in the, now empty hallway.

Science was just a big blur, after what I had gone through today. I was already the talk of the school on the first day, people stared as I walked down the hall, just waiting for me to have a mental breakdown.

I was Sooo relieved when I heard the bell ring indicating that science was over. Great now all I have is robotics, Language arts, and cheerleading practice.

I was so happy to see Hope when I walked into robotics, as she also was coming in, knowing only half of what I had gone through today.

I tried to put on a strong face, but it never worked around her. She opened her arms and gave me a warm hug, which I gladly returned.

She whispered "it's ok Elizabeth I'm here for you." she whispered into my ear.

"So am i." I heard a voice say as I started to pull away from the hug I saw Kristen giving me a sympathetic look, with tears in the verge of flowing out of her eyes. I gave her a weak smile back and mouthed the words thank you, tears now streaming out of my eyes too, as I pulled her into our little group hug. I could feel Hope and Kristen's shoulders shake from sobs along with mine. We pulled apart to wipe away all of our tears just in time for the final ring of the bell. Thinking of how silly we looked, with our makeup all smeared and our faces all puffy, I let out a laugh. That laugh was followed by a laugh from Kristen who had caught on, then a laugh from Hope who had also now cough on. Our little laughs quickly turned into a loud histraic laugh, making everyone stare with a worried expressions. Then the fun ended when Mr. Parker walked in and over to his board.

"Hello class I'm Mr. Parker for those a of you that don't already know me."

I couldn't help but let out a yuan, over the first school day procedure, at Kristen and Hope. Making them yet again burst out in giggles, causing a stare from some people. I'm guessing they all thought we were crazy, that we had finally gone of the edge. But hey if people want to think I'm crazy, well than that's their choice. I'm glad I was having a break, even if it was just for a few hours.
