Dad: Man I knew we should have stopped him!

Mom: Aww come on its not that bad. He's just a little sick is all.

Your mom smiled casually as she read a book she seemed to have randomly pulled off the bookshelf. Your dad was upset as his son had come back from his date and gotten sick.

Dad: He doesn't need to miss school right now. I mean I don't think he's doing anything serious in class but he should at least be there to see that girl of his.

Mom: You know...

You mom placed a bookmark into the novel and set it aside.

Mom: I'm all for (Y/n) getting a girlfriend and growing up. I mean he can't stay cooped up with us forever, but don't you think we are pushing him a bit too much?

Your dad paused and seemed to think about something. His frown drooped even more as he let out a soft sigh, letting a hand run through his hair as he moved to the kitchen, your mom following slowly behind.

Dad: I guess we are... but I just want him to have some fun. He's been dealing with us moving around so much and your... situation for so long, I nearly cried when I heard he had made some friends.

Your mom smiled softly and moved to hug your dad from behind, her head resting on his left shoulder as he looked through a cupboard.

Mom: Has anyone ever told you that you worry too much?

Dad: At least three people, well four now including you.

Mom: Then you know that you just need to relax. Life comes and goes as it wants. It's not like we can control what happens.

Dad: Yeah you're right... Do you want some cookies?

Mom: What kind of cookies?

Dad: We have good old fashioned chocolate chip?

Mom: Grab us some and I'll grab the milk.

Your parents set about getting there cookies and milk ready. Their minds still focused on their son who laid only a room away sick in bed.

Dad: We could always watch a movie! Do you wanna watch something?

Mom: Just pop in that one we usually watch on...

Your mom pulled up her sleeve to look at her wrist only to reveal she wasn't wearing a  watch

Mom: On Tuesdays at something o'clock.

You Dad set the cookies onto the table and moved into the living room, kneeling to look for the movie his wife wished to watch.

Dad: Hmm... do you remember what it was called? I kinda just threw all the movies into a box when we packed up.

Mom: Yeah it was... I... I dunno we don't have to watch it now. I'm up for anything really!

Your dad let out a shaky sigh as he took in a deep breath and pulled out a movie.

Dad: W-Well in that case uh... We're gonna watch a horror movie!

Mom: Is it too late to take back my statement?

Dad: Yep!

Your dad forced a smile as he cranked up the whole happiness bit. he needed to keep smiling. Because if he kept smiling, his wife would keep smiling and so would (Y/n). He just needed to keep this up until she got better! He put the movie into the player and waited for the menu to display. He hit play and simply jumped back and relaxed into the couch, his wife leaning into him, munching on a cookie.

Dad: I love you, you know?

Mom: I would hope so! I love you too ya dolt.

You dad chuckled a bit before wrapping an arm around your mother carefully, pulling her closer into his side as the movie began.

A bottle fell to the ground with a crisp thud, shattering as it collided with concrete. A figure stumbled down the sidewalk and moved past a few darkened figures. The male as it would appear couldn't see properly, his vision heavily blurred in his inebriated state. However, he could hear just fine.

???: (Y/n)!

The figure... was you. You let out a cough and pressed a hand onto a nearby building to stabilize yourself.

(Y/n): What... What the hell? Whersh...

Your words began to slur as you tried to finish out the sentence.

???: (Y/n)!

A female voice called out to you. Your eyes raised but your vision was still blurry. As your eyes finally landed upon the female she immediately began moving away from you, jogging slightly down the path. As she moved further away a sense of sheer horror and panic filled your chest. You couldn't even see who it was, but your body pushed itself forward chasing after her. Something just told you that you needed her. You chased after her as she burst into a sprint moving down the sidewalk.

(Y/n): Wait... Come back!

You called out to the figure who simply ignored your presence running further away from you.

???: (Y/n)!

Her voice called to you, but you couldn't recognize who it was. It sounded like a mix of so many voices you had heard from that stranger in the street to Ami to even Taiga. Just a jumbled mess that teased you and demanded you follow despite the figure creating even more distance between the two of you. As your lungs began to despise you for running in such a drunken state you tried to remember how you even got here. All you remembered was dropping that bottle before chasing after this woman, pushing past figures on the sidewalk that mumbled complaints at you. Finally, after a good mile or so of this cat and mouse chase, the female figure simply stopped and stood still. She turned to you and simply waited as you forced yourself forward.

(Y/n): Why did you... run?! Tell me!

???: (Y/n)...

Her voice replied in a somber tone. Her voice almost sounding sorry for you as you moved closer to her. The light of a nearby lamp starting to illuminate her as you moved ever closer until a screech pierced your ears.

???: (Y/N)!

It was the girl's... but why? You stopped abruptly at the voice and looked down, seeing your body was starting to illuminate. Then you slowly lifter your head up and then to the right to see a pair of lights moving ever closer to you. And as the lights grew closer to colliding with you, the girl screeched one last time.

???: (Y/N)!

You awoke with a start and found yourself covered in sweat. It was... just a dream? You questioned yourself as you found yourself near delirious. Your lungs sucked in air as you glanced around at your destroyed bedding, your covers were thrown clear of the bed across the room. You still know why you had such a vivid dream. Why was it so vivid? You panted out as you thumped back into bed, trying to get back to sleep to break this cold. You didn't know why... but you desperately wanted to hold someone close to you and very soon. You just didn't know who.
