Bad end alternate part

He watched, he had to watch everything. Running over to his lover he fell to his knees. He didn't know yet how to feel. His mind and body were still trying to process the sight. The one thing he had never wanted to see. Her body was growing colder, and blood dripped from her lips. She looked up at him, tears brimmed in her eyes. She smiled weakly and, lightly. Happy knowing he was safe, she could die happy.
She lifts her hand, shaken fingers brushed against his cheek. Her voice was a cot in her throat. She said no words, but with the simple gesture, he knew what she was trying to say. Her hand dropped, breaking the silence with a loud thud. The light in her eyes started to fade; like the embers of a fire bleeding out.
His body and mind started to process the moment. The tears that rested beneath his eyelids started to fall. His breath quickened, as his mind started to panic. "No! No! Don't! You can't go!" He pleaded, though in his subconscious he knew. He knew that she could hear his begs and cries.
It all died down, and he could not cry anymore. His tears faded away and dried. He had cried till he couldn't cry anymore. His voice was a horse and, his throat was red and sore.
He brushed the hair that laid around her face away; as they louder her in the back of the ambulance. He rubbed his eyes. It hurt it was hurting. He was broken and, would be for along time. It all hurt but what hurt most, was the fact that he had to go home, and tell his child that his mom wouldn't be coming back; and he hadn't done everything he could to save her. It hurt because he felt like it was his fault. He was broken but had to stay strong. He had people who needed him. He knew that if she was still here, she would scold him for blaming himself. He smiled at the thought, he would stay strong for her.
