Butterfly Kisses

Prompt: small kisses littered across the other's face

He knew that the internship was going to be challenging and the result was that he was practically dead on his feet. Beam turned off his car. Honestly, the next time he would just have Forth pick him up. He wouldn't be stubborn like he'd been yesterday before he'd gone in. He put his keys in his duffel before getting out. Beam made his way over to the elevator that would take him out of the underground parking garage to their condo.

As the elevator ascended towards Forth's and his apartment, Beam took out his phone to text Pha and Kit. They'd agreed to go to an early lunch and go see the horror movie, Midsommar. Beam knew he wasn't going to be in any mood to leave the condo till the day after tomorrow. Thankfully, he had the next three days off. A few minutes later, Pha and Kit both sent him a thumbs up.

Three dings from the elevator let him know that he was on his apartment floor. He shuffled to his door typing the access code to get inside. The moment Beam stepped inside he could hear Forth's rock music coming from his office. The door was wide open. Beam toed out of his shoes as Forth popped his head out the doorway.

"Welcome home, babe." Forth greeted him happily.

"Thanks." Beam smiled tiredly back at him.

"Why don't you take a shower and a nap? I'll wake you when dinner gets here." Forth offered as he took Beam's duffel from him. Beam nodded in response before disappearing into their bedroom. Forth made use of their laundry room to take care of Beam's scrubs before making some coffee. He checked on Beam to make sure he'd not fallen asleep in the shower. The shower had been brisk because Beam was already in their bed lightly snoring.

Forth didn't want to wake him but their dinner had arrived. He sighed softly as he leaned off the door frame where he'd been watching his boyfriend snooze. Beam didn't stir as the bed dipped in front of him which made Forth chuckle. Forth gently nudged his boyfriend while saying his name. When he got no response, he combed his fingers through Beam's fringe to expose his forehead. He pressed a butterfly kiss to his forehead decided to lightly pepper kisses on his nose, cheeks, and ear. At his ear, Forth blew his breath inside knowing that Beam's ears were sensitive.

Beam's nose crinkled at the warm breath flowing into his ear before swatting at Forth groggily. "Stop."

"Dinner's here, babe."

"I'm not hungry." Beam sleepily droned. However, his stomach betrayed him by growling.

"Eat some dinner and you can sleep afterwards." Forth chuckled "I promise."
