I wake up, there's no light in the room so I must've somehow slept the day away. I get up, throwing the blankets off and finding my way around the room. I locate the door with my special nighttime radar and open it, poking my head out and looking down the hall.
"Tyler?" I say as I walk through it. All the lights are out and I can't even think about where he's at right now if he's not in bed.
I make my way to the living room, checking the bathroom and kitchen along the way.
I start to feel more worried, a chill runs down my spine and I rub my arms. I walk over to the couch and look at Marshal and Delta lying amongst each other, entangled legs and fingers and hair.
"Marshal..." I push his shoulder but it's not him who stirs, it's Delta. Maybe I pushed her shoulder.
She opens an eye slowly. "Andrew...?" She rubs her eye and then sits up slowly. "What time is it?" She asks.
"I don't know. Do you know where Tyler is?" I ask.
"I don't know. I think he fell asleep on the loveseat or the floor..." I look around the living room.
"Thanks." She nods and lays back down.
I walk around for a second before I trip over something on the floor. I land on the floor and look down at my foot. It's entangled in a blanket on the floor. I sit up and give my eyes a second to focus. It was a made bed. But now it's so obviously empty. Tyler had to have gotten up and gone somewhere.
I free my foot and stand up, walking to the kitchen. I pass a window and catch something in the corner of my eye. I make a double-take and see Tyler in the pool. He's swimming laps with only the light of the pool.
I look around for a door. A glass sliding door isn't too far away so I go to it and walk out, it leads straight to the pool patio. Tyler isn't lifting his head above the water for anything but to breathe.
I walk quietly, the concrete from the patio feels weird on my bare toes. He's in the middle of the pool so I sit at the edge and put my feet in the water, watching him; the way his muscles protrude and his arms push him through the water in such beautiful, strong strokes.
After a while, he finally surfaces and checks a watch around his neck. He turns around to start his laps again but he catches me fast. "Andrew?" He wipes the dripping water from his face and walks over to me. I'm in the shallow end of the pool so he can easily stand up, which reveals his wet body, glistening in the moonlight. The reflection of the water waves around his stomach and hips as he treads easily through the water.
"Hey..." I say as I watch him rather gleefully.
"I'm really sorry about earlier," he says as he rubs the back of his neck.
"No, I am. I don't know what the fuck got into me. I just kind of exploded. I'm never the jealous type," I say as I look down at my feet kicking in the water.
"Except... When it comes to me?" His fingers grab my chin and lift my head up, his eyes are intensely blue and his lips are a sweet pink. His eyelashes are wet and sticking together a little bit, making them darker and contrasting much better with his eyes.
I nod slowly, never breaking his gaze. "Why don't you get in with me?" He asks with a small smile.
"'Cause I don't have a swimsuit," I say.
"Baby, who needs a swimsuit?" He grabs the hem of the shirt I'm wearing and lifts it above my head. I'm not even wearing a bra so I'm immediately feeling the breeze on my body.
Tyler grabs me by my upper arms and pulls me into the pool. "Ah!" I yell as I fall against him. He holds me close and I can feel his face in my hair.
"Do you really sometimes wish our parents never met...?" He asks after a second.
