That bright blue sky above us
Is blinding to look at
So instead I look at you
Smiling as I do so
I could stay this way for forever
But I know everything must
End
My wings are stitched with pain and sorrow
But you held your arms wide open
Willing to accept everything I was
And everything I could be
Knowing I could fall at any moment
Leaving you here alone
Your quiet willingness to care for others
Is beautiful yet heart wrenching
Having your heart ripped out again and again
But still having the will to go on
To keep helping everyone in need
I don't know what the future holds
But I know that someone will care
When you disappear from this world
Even if that person is just me
Even if I'm already dead by then
I'll still care whether you know it or not
You can't stop caring about someoneNo matter how much you try to
No matter how much you want to
You can lie to yourself as much as you want
You can deceive yourself countless times
But you'll still care about them
Even if it's just the littlest bit
The clouds chase the days away
As the blue above watches
And it will always be there
Whether you know it or not
And it will only become brighter
Until you embrace that brightness
And let it overtake you
