sunny day ༊*·˚* ੈ✩‧₊

faint sobs could be heard from the corner of the whitewashed ice cream parlor. knees folded, head buried into her lemonade pink sweater sleeves that was rested on her knees. all that could be seen was her tousled blonde hair.

it was a bright day out, the golden orb was high above the clouds that was painted on the vibrant blue canvas. it was a bright day out, but why was a storm destructing, shattering, everything within her.

her head perked up upon the feeling of a warm hand rubbing circles around her back and her dark chocolate orbs were met by a pair of hazel ones that belonged to a fawn haired boy. the boy didn't stop his actions, he even flashed her the warmest smile she's ever seen.

they were complete strangers but she felt as if she's known him for years. he had a homy aura radiating off him, it was warm and comforting. thanks to him, her sobs finally came to an end as he wiped the very last tear that rolled off her crimson cheeks.

renjun didn't even know why he was comforting a crying stranger. maybe it was because he felt bad or maybe because he's been there once, either way, he just felt the need to paint a smile on her face.

"t-thank you, i'm so sorry you had to see me that way. my name is park yeonsu." she sniffed, looking everywhere but the boy next to her, embarrassed that someone had seen her that way.

"huang renjun." he flashed her a bright smile again in which she returned with her small one.

they didn't know how, they didn't know why but it was now one in the afternoon and they were in an amusement park. if someone walked past, they would've thought that the two were a highschool couple on a date on that fine sunny day.

yeonsu was no longer cyring. she was in fact, smiling brighter than the sun. her eyes were glued to the blue canvas above her, one hand was warmly held by the boy she had just met as their feet waltzed around the brick floor.

renjun's heart was beating like crazy. his eyes never for a second left the ethereal side profile of the girl next to him.

renjun ah, you've really lost it this time.

he cursed at himself inside his mind as if he was crazy.

you can't possibly be in love with a girl you've just met.
you're crazy huang renjun, really crazy.

but he didn't stop looking at her, his gaze only became softer; just like his heart.

"staring is rude you know." yeonsu blurted out, eyes still locked on the sky.

"who said i was?" renjun looked straight ahead, pretending as if he did not just admire her aesthetic features for the past ten minutes or so. yeonsu only chuckled, shaking her head.

the pair continued to walk that way, not even caring about the time,

because at that moment, the only things that mattered were them.

truth be told, yeonsu had planned to go home and snuggle in her covers, completely not in the mood to do anything after the argument she had with her sister.

everyone loved her twin sister. she was gorgeous, musically talented, one of the top students as well. she was a little too amazing to the point where everyone started comparing the two, including their parents.

she just wanted to stay at home and eat her sadness away but renjun had other ideas. for some odd reason he wanted to cheer her up despite barely knowing her, so here they were, in an amusement park, smiling like complete fools who were crazy in love with each other.

they didn't do anything crazy, they only talked and talked as they allowed their feet to waltz around the park; it was blissful.

eventually, they were waiting in line to go on a ferris wheel; very cliche, yes they knew.

it was around seven in the evening when they went on their cart. knees were touching, hearts were beating, cheeks were bright red.

once again, renjun found himself appreciating yeonsu's angel-like features. meanwhile, yeonsu was too caught up with the star dusted canvas outside.

it was no longer of a pastel blue hue, but rather coal like. the glitters on the blank black canvas were shimmering; complementing the sky.

her lashes draped above her dreamy hot chocolate orbs. reflection of the shimmering silver glitters were evident in her eyes, as if they belonged there.

the tip of his slender fingers were gentle and cautious as they held her chin as if she was made of porcelain. his eyes had the softest, warmest glint in them when he looked at her for the very last time before closing the gap between their lips.

their lips morphed perfectly as if they were two puzzle pieces that belonged to each other.

his natural peachy lips were light against her crimson tinted ones. at that moment their lips, hearts and souls were connected.

back to their own positions, their lips parted ways. eyes were locked, secured with each other's, admiring the beauty in front of them before their lips allowed lilliputian giggles to escape.

" because on a sunny day you took my heart "
