Vani is the person who knows each and everything about this school be it about juniors seniors or even teachers. That is why we both often arrive late, not because we take so much time to get dressed at home but we take ages to get out of the parking lot without exchanging each and every gossip in the town.
After having a small argument we reach our class which is at the first floor. I take a huge breath of relief after seeing the teacher's chair is empty. Then we begin to march to our bench which is the second last bench to the first row.
"Good for you Mrs yadav hasn't arrived yet. You can save your apologies for future now"
"I wasn't going to apologize to you anyway. Hey looks like we have new admission here! "
"What new admission at this time? " I say clearly astonished. Then I see him sitting at the last bench just behind ours. He is fair, have thick hair which is styled a little. He face is oval with thick eyebrows and a perfect long nose. And his eyes, intense black eyes which would open wide in amazement is now shifting towards me. Towards me!!! I quickly look away and pretend to watch through the window behind him."Good morning aakash!! Looks like you got a new friend you won't introduce us to him? Vani says as usual with full of energy when we reach our bench. We take our place and put our bags down still standing facing them.
"Ofcourse, meet Kabir, Kabir she is Vani the popular and she is Riya the scholar." Aakash introduces us in the best way he can.
"Nice to meet you two " Kabir said with a gorgeous smile and shifting his eyes from Vani to me which stays at me for a little longer. Maybe he caught me staring at him before. Anyways just pretend nothing happened be cool.
I tell myself."So in which school you were before? " Vani asked curiously.
"I was in DPS before my father got transferred here. " Kabir said.
"Oh I see that is why you changed school in eleventh class which nobody normally does" Vani said as if she is explaining it to herself.
"Vani that wasn't required to be told" I tell her in a low voice.
"Really? "She ask amazed.
"Well yes, somebody.... "
"Everyone sit down please it's time for attendance. " Mrs yadav instructs in a frustrating voice.
Suddenly we turn around and sit on our respective places after finding out that only we were the one who were standing.
After taking the attendance Mrs yadav calls Kabir in the front for introduction.
I observed him as he went to face the whole class. He is tall nearly around six feet and has an athletic body.
"I am Kabir Mehra. I studied in DPS before my father got transferred here in Ahmedabad." Kabir introduces himself in a deep strong voice.
"Tell us how much you scored in class tenth? " Mrs yadav asks him in a sweet voice.I don't like this when somebody asks you to tell your marks publicly even if you have scored well. It's like blowing your own trumpet. And obviously if you haven't scored that good then you won't feel like telling your marks to anyone but guess what you will still have to go through the introduction thing.
"Um...I scored ninety five percent in class tenth." He says in a low voice.
Suddenly everyone's interested in this event even the one who was dozing off in the last bench.
"Oh that's really nice congratulations for that. Well do you have any hobbies? Mrs yadav asks.
"Oh yes I love playing video games, I play football and read books." He says suddenly getting excited.
The last thing catches my attention. This guy read books. Now I can say this guy has some standards.

After coming back from assembly we quickly get into our places and Mrs yadav starts our chemistry class.
"Riya" a small whisper comes from behind.
"Yes" I answer without turning my head.
"Actually aakash and I both don't have a chemistry textbook so please can you give us yours?" Kabir said in a sweet soothing low voice. A guy with good looks, nice physique, fantastic grades and now a charming voice for making requests, is there any flaw in this guy?
"Riya!!" He whispers again.
"Oh yes sorry what did you just say?"
"Do you have an extra chemistry textbook?" He asked in a voice which was slightly irritated.
"Oh sorry actually only Vani have one" I said.
"Could have told me this before. Looks like you have a hearing problem." He said in a serious tone.
"Oh no I don't. " I said slightly furious turning to him.
"Riya shivnani very nice of you to show your presence in this class, if your done you can go out. Now. " Mrs yadav announced very clearly. The next thing I remember is that I'm standing in the corridor for the entire chemistry period, for full thirty five minutes, full!!! I didn't even have the chance to apologize to Mrs. Yadav as she was clearly annoyed. All this happened only because of that new jerk in our class. And the fact that I'm alone here was just the icing on the cake.
When I'm just pondering on the fact that why schools need to paint their walls with classic cream and blue combo the bell rings.
Mrs. Yadav comes out after a few minutes, she is damn punctuate. I quickly apologized for whatever I did and she simply told me to not do it again and also reminded me to catch up the lesson which I missed. Just one of the pros of being a good student is that the teacher won't scold you that much as they do to the other kids. Always maintain a good image of yours in front of them.
I turn around to get inside the class and at the same moment Kabir comes out and simply walks out of the class ignoring me and all the misery he did to me. Right now I was only concerned about the chemistry lesson I missed but this guy just fuelled my anger to another level. I quickly went inside to my bench and tried to look as normal as I can.
"What are you so pissed off? " Vani asked with concern.
"I'm totally mad at this new guy" I replied with my anger coming out with each word.
"You are madly in love with him?" She asked very excitedly.
"No!!! " I said furiously.
"Okay calm down I was just joking" She chuckled to lighten my mood.
"So what he did that made you so MAD at him?" She asked.
"Only because of him I missed my chemistry class and also my dignity. He asked in the middle of the class for an extra chemistry textbook and when I said no we got into a little argument which was enough to get me out of the class." I explained in a single breath.
"Well I think it wasn't his fault. You should have kept your voice down." She said carefully choosing her words.
"So you think it was my fault." I chuckled.
"Come on you just can't talk loudly in the middle of class given WHATEVER the situation is." Vani said like that's the universal truth.
"Whatever" I said frustrated and go back to my bench.Admitting my mistake is something which I will never do, not in this life at least.
