Weeks passed while the vampires and their lovers were in lockdown. 

For a while it did seem like Yoongi had overreacted, no one was coming. Not a single person stepped foot inside the forest. Maybe the humans truly did give up.

Well, that's what they thought, for just a moment. But that one moment where they slightly let their guard down was proven a mistake.

That night is when the fire alarm started blaring loudly throughout the mansion. At first it was thought that Seokjin had accidentally left the stove on but no, the fire was started from the outside.

They quickly gathered their essentials but when they were about to leave…. They realised they had been surrounded.

"Yoongi.. What now?" Taehyung called out, grabbing the vampire's hand. "I… Don't know."

Oh.

Oh, they're fucked.

They're very fucking fucked.

THE Min Yoongi didn't know what to do. Dozens of vampire hunters were surrounding their mansion, standing ready with their weapons. The smoke of the fire started penetrating their lungs.

Seokjin gulped before stepping forward. "I have sworn to protect all of you. So I will, I'll go out and cause a distraction, then the rest of you will be able to sneak past."

"Seokjin, that's a suicide mission." Yoongi said, declaring the older vampire for crazy. "So be it." Seokjin turned to Jungkook and Jimin, kissing both of their foreheads before whispering something to them. 

"Sneak out through the basement will you." Seokjin said, his eyes shining brightly in the night. Before he could be stopped he was out of the door, the sounds of gunshots immediately piercing through their ears.

This left Yoongi and Hoseok with the responsibility to get the others away. Jungkook and Jimin seemed stuck in their place, looking blankly at the door Seokjin left through. "He might make it." Yoongi reassured, before dragging the two along towards the basement.

It was a narrow path, impossible to walk through side to side. At the end of the path was a little trapdoor. It would lead to about the middle of the garden, which would be surrounded if Seokjin didn't manage to cause the distraction he said he would be making. Yoongi decided to put all his trust in his friend. Seokjin never seemed to fail him and so Yoongi hoped that today wasn't an exception. 

Together with Hoseok he quietly opened the trapdoor and scanned the surroundings. "No one, quickly." Yoongi leaped out of the path and hoisted everyone out.

The gunshots could still be heard from the front of the house, significantly less than at first but they were still there. "Hoseok." Yoongi pulled the vampire towards them. "Lead them to the bunker, I'm going to help Seokjin."

"No, you're crazy. You're not gonna leave behind just me and Jungkook. You're coming with us." Hoseok tried pulling Yoongi along but the leader didn't budge. "Hoseok, go." It took every bit of willpower within Hoseok to not go and save Seokjin as well. But the order had been given, he had the lives of 4 others on his hands, he couldn't be reckless now.

"Follow me." Hoseok said, pulling the others along. Taehyung grabbed Yoongi's hand and pulled him in for one more quick kiss. "Consider that a lucky charm." He said before following the rest of the group.

With one deep breath Yoongi made his way around the mansion, jumping a few hunters and stripping them of their weapons. When he arrived at the front he saw Seokjin, vigorously clawing at the hunters despite having multiple bullets nestled in his skin.

With one big leap Yoongi threw himself into the battle, surprising Seokjin. "You really thought I was going to let you do this alone?" He called out towards his friend while he kicked a human straight into a tree, knocking them unconscious with his strength.

"Was kinda hoping you would!" Seokjin called back to him. Seokjin knew Yoongi would return, he always did. He just wanted him to prioritize the others.

Seokjin and Yoongi had known each other for hundreds of years, and had been inseparable for hundreds of years. So if one threw himself into the claws of death, the other would follow.

Let's just hope that today wasn't that day.
