~ Alex's pov ~
I never understood why my mom decided to move. I moved from Boston to LA. That's a pretty big move for me. My mom doesn't understand that I will get bullied here at this new school because I'm gay. Wait she doesn't know I'm gay.
"Mom, do I really have to go to school?" I asked.
"Yes, Alex. You do." She said.
"Why? Why can't I just live with dad and stay in my old school?" I asked.
"Because your father couldn't take care of you." She said. I sighed.
"I just can't wait till I graduate." I said.
"I know, sweetie. You only have this year." She said. I nodded.
"Look, I gotta get in there." I said.
"I know, I shouldn't be keeping you." She said. I nodded and kissed her cheek.
"Love you, mom." I said.
"I love you, too." She said. I got out and walked inside the school and started looking for the office. Girls were waving at me and smiling. I gave them a sly smile and kept looking.
"You lost?" I heard a girls voice asked. I spun around and saw a girl maybe an inch or few shorter than me standing there. "I'm taylor." She said.
"Alex." I said. We shook hands.
"Looking for the office?" She asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"Come on." She said. I followed her through the halls. "You'll like everyone here. No one bullies anyone here. It's like against policy or something. So you'll be fine." She said.
"Aw, Taylor you're torturing the new kid." A kid with brown spiked Mohawk said wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
"Oh shut up, Jack." She said. "Jack, this is Alex. Alex, this is Jack my annoying but amazing best friend." She said.
"Nice to meet you dude." He said.
"You too." I said. We all started walking to the office.
"So where ya from?" He asked.
"Baltimore." I said.
"Really? Me too!" He said.
"Cool, you ready for football season?" I asked. Taylor fake gagged.
"Jack, you can show him to the office. I'm out of here." She said. I laughed. She walked off.
"But yeah, I am ready for football season." He said.
"Ravens are gonna kill it this season." I said.
"Hell, yeah." He said. "Why did you move?" He asked as we turned a corner.
"My parents divorced." I said.
"That shit sucks." He said.
"Yeah, it does." I said. Now thinking about it, this guy is pretty cute.
"So any thing else you wanna talk about?" He asked.
"Not really. I just wanna get my schedule." I said. He nodded. We walked into the office.
"Hey there, Jack. Who is this?" The secretary asked.
"Oh, Mrs. B this is Alex he's new." He said.
"What's your last name Alex?" She asked.
"Gaskarth." I said. She typed it in and then started printing out papers. She handed them to me.
"Jack here is gonna show you around." She said.
"Thank you." I said and walked out with Jack. He grabbed my papers and looked at it.
"All of your classes are with me and your locker is right beside mine." He said.
"Cool." I said. He nodded.
"You know you're pretty cute." He said causing me to blush.
"Uh thanks I think." I said.
"Sorry if I just made this completely awkward." He said.
"Oh no you didn't. It's fine." I said. He smiled.
"Good, let's get to showing you around." He said. I nodded and he started showing me around. We walked to his locker where a few guys were at. "Hey, guys. This is the new kid, Alex. Alex, this is Rian Dawson and Zack Merrick." He said. I nodded.
"Nice to meet you guys." I said.
"You too newbie." Rian said.
"Jack, I'll see you in class." I said and started walking away. And his friends don't like me. I walked into the class and saw the teacher. I handed her my schedule. She looked at it and she handed it back to me.
"Take a seat in the back." She said. I nodded and walked to the back and sat in a seat.

"Why do you have to be an ass?" I asked opening my locker.
"He's a new kid. He looked into you." He said.
"And?" I asked. "He's a cool dude." I said.
"You met him like 10 minutes ago." He said.
"Whatever." I said and grabbed my binder shutting my locker. I leaned on it. "You are more of an ass than anything, Rian." I said and started walking to the class. When I walked in the only seat left was beside Alex who was drawing since class hasn't started yet. I walked over and sat beside him. "Hey, stranger." I said. I saw a smile creep on his face.
"Hey." He said.
"Whatcha drawing?" I asked.
"Just something random." He said. I nodded. "So your friend Rian doesn't like me." He said.
"It's not that, he does that with a lot of new kids." I said. He nodded
