summer days don't last

Camp Week

                                            *THIS PART WILL BE SHORTER THAN THE OTHERS*

                                                                             -Chloe's POV-

It was finally camp week. All of us had our own individual tents so none of us had to sleep with anyone. I set up my tent and get inside. We were all doing our own little thing. I go to Corey's tent. He was on his phone texting someone. I was a little curious about who it was but I wasn't one to be in ayone else's business. I put my hands over his eyes. He grabbed them and hugged me. We just sat there talking random stuff like how curls his hair was, how crazy my life was and other stuff. I went back to my tent and got on my phone while eating some crackers, fruit and drinking some juice. Chris comes to my tent.

"Hey,Chloe"Chris says.

"Hey, Chris"I say.

"Do you feel like maybe going for a walk later on today?"Chris asks.

"No"I answer.

"Why not?"Chris sasy.

"Because you asked me if I wanted to and I said no because I didn't want to. Is that enough of an explanation as to why not?"I snap.

"Okay,all you had to say was'because I said so'like any other time"Chris snaps back.

"Sorry,I've just been really indecisive lately. There's been a lot on my mind"I apologize.

Chris hugs me tight. We talk for awhile until we get on a really personal subject.

"So how would you feel if Andy hurt you so bad that you had to stay in the hospital for like a month?"Chris says.

"What...why would you even ask me that?"I say a little hurt that he would even mention Andy while I was around him.

"Oh.. I'm sorry..."Chris stutters.

"I think you should go"I interupt.

He leaves my tent. I feel like he said it to scare me or something. That was completely inconsiderate of him. I get back on my phone and turn my music all the way up. For the rest of the week we said nothing to each other. The week after, we just went and did small things like movies and skating but I was mostly hanging around Corey. I felt like he understood me more than anyone else. But at the same time I felt like it wasn't right since we'd only been friends for like three months.

I didn't mean anything when I asked her that. I should've knew better than to say that to her. When we got back to the hotel,she made me sleep by myself the whole time while she slept with Corey. They even packed up each other's stuff. She must've been really mad at me.
