summer days don't last

almost camping day

We had to delay the trip from me getting hurt and I had to recover. My arm and leg had healed so we could finally go on the trip. I had my leg and arm wrapped to prevent infection. I stayed at Chris's house to heal so I wouldn't be by myself at home when mom went to work. I also just gave him attention.

"Wake up, Chloe"Chris cooed shaking me awake.

"Hmmm, what"I whisper

"Wake up, we have to get ready to go camping today, angel.

I slowly sit up in bed rubbing my eyes.

"Good morning, Chris"I smile

He explains to me that it's the day we actually go camping. I jump out of the bed and head to the bathroom to get ready. It takes me a few hours to get ready.

"Chris, I'm ready"I call out

"Me too"Chris answered.

"Wanna go to Starbucks"I ask trying to show as much attention to Chris as possible.

"Yeah, let's go"Chris agreed

Chris offers to drive. So I let him so he can feel special. Once we get there I ordered a caramel macchiato and he ordered the same thing. We talked for awhile about how crazy Andy was for torturing me like that and how i was really tough to deal with him for all time.

"So,Chris can I talk to you about something in a hypothetical way?"I ask

"Sure,what's up with you?"He answers.

"So I like someone and I know that someone else likes me at the same time"I go on.

"Go on,Chloe"he gets to the edge of his seat.

"I'm asking you what I should do"I say.

"Well,can you tell me who these people are?"He asks

                                                                                -In Chloe's head-

 I don't want to tell him but I want his help. Maybe I should just talk to someone else about this. I don't know what to do.

                                                                                  -In Chris' head-

I really hope I'm in this situation. I hope Chloe likes me instead of this Corey kid. I don't wan to be a stick in the mud but I'll be mad if she doesn't like me. I want her to be mine forever.

"Well,Chris, you are one of those people"I say with a smile.

I could see his cheeks flush immediately. I feel myself start to flush a little bit too. I look down at my cup to hide it,though. I smile ferociously and tuck my head in my coat.

"But I don't want to go with you because it would mess up our friendship"I say still flushed.

"I understand,Chloe,but who is the other person?"he asks with a look of disappointment.

"The other person is Corey but we just met so I don't like him as much as I like you"still flushing.

"Honestly,I was worried you were gonna replace me with him and I was jealous of him"he admits while still looking flushed as ever.

"I would never do that"I assure him.

So after I say that we hug. Then we head back to his house to get ready for the camping trip. I was fully healed and Chris didn't have to help me anymore. It was really weird but not anymore. So we got ready and drove to my house so I could pack up. Then we got back in the car and sat for a little minute. We stared at each other for a minute. Then we held hands and got a little closer to each other.
