Loki had his head against Thor's chest, his chest rising and falling with difficulty.
Thor was glaring at the man with full-on hatred burning in his eyes. There was no way he would give this man mercy now.
Though, he refused to respond to the man's question, so he remained silent.
Loki murmured something inaudible as he groggily lifted his head. His eyes were glazed over in obvious pain as they drifted around, landing on the man, before then drifting up to Thor's face.
Loki was relieved he wasn't dead yet, but he knew it was because of the bits of sorcery that were attempting to heal him, though it came with lots of pain.
A groan escaped his beaten lips, catching his brother's attention.
Thor looked down at his younger brother. He looked so fragile and weak. His face was extremely pale as well.
"I will face you once more, as long as you do not harm my brother. Only me, and me alone," Thor finally said. At the words, the man gave a side smile.
"You have my word I, or my companions, will not attempt to bring harm to your brother in any manner," the man replied. He was speaking truth, though he wanted Thor more than Loki, as he was using Loki to lure the Thunder God.
Thor gave a curt nod, walking over to a large tree nearby and gently placing his brother against it, who made a noise of protest.
Loki weakly lifted his head to glare at his brother, who had stood up.
"Brother, p-please," Loki pleaded, his voice remaining weak, but the pleading and desperation in his voice didn't falter.
Thor turned around to face his brother. "I promise you, Loki, that I will come out whole. We shall not have to deal with this man any longer."
Loki wanted to protest. In all honesty he didn't want his brother getting truly hurt, but he understood.
He nodded reluctantly.
Thor gave his young brother a squeeze on the shoulder, before turning away to face the man, who seemed to be surprisingly patient with him.
"You act like you have all the time in the world," Thor pointed out.
The man chuckled, before pulling out two blades. "I am not in any rush."
With that, Thor charged, unleashing all of his anger to fuel his powers. His body lit up in lightning as his fist collided with the blade. Instead of doing any damage to his hand, his powers sent the man flying backward, who surprisingly landed on his feet.
"Impressive.." the man grinned.
Thor did a corkscrew mid-air, multiple lightning bolts crashing down on the man, but somehow, he came out unscathed.
A lightbulb seemed to flicker in his head. Thor jumped over the man, grabbing the two blades, much to his surprise.
The large man spun around, his grin turning into a scowl. His lips curved downward.
Loki was watching with a hint of amusement.
He hoped his brother would win. He always won.
Loki watched as Thor charged at the man and slashed his sides with ease, blood streaming down them freely.
The man let out a strangled gasp, before collapsing to the ground.
Thor dropped the blades, a victorious grin spreading across his face.
That was, until his look of victory, turned to a look of pain and disbelief.
A loud gunshot echoed throughout the perimeter, and he felt severe pain radiate from his back.
Loki's eyes went wide.
Thor coughed horribly, blood dripping down his nose and mouth, along with a cut above his eye.
He turned around, just as one of the man's 'companions' kicked him to the ground. He slid, coming to a stop not that far from the tree his brother sat against.
Loki was internally pleading for his brother to get up.
Thor took in a large breath, getting himself to his knees. He allowed lightning to radiate throughout his body as he struck the figure with a large bolt.
With that, his powers receded, and he collapsed to the ground, breathing hard.
Much to Loki's surprise, his brother began to chuckle, and then it turned into a laugh, though he predicted it was a laugh of happiness.
Loki had gathered the strength to crawl over to his brother.
Thor attempted to sit up when he saw Loki approaching, but, forgetting about the wound, a groan escaped his lips and he fell back down.
Loki sat next to his wounded brother, though, he supposed they were both wounded.
"Let me see, brother," Loki said, turning Thor to lay on his stomach so his back would be in his sight.
The sight wasn't horrifically bad, but it wasn't good either.
The bullet was surprisingly strong to pierce through Thor's armor, though the problem was that the bullet remained in his body, dangerously close to one of his major organs.
"How is it?" Thor questioned.
Loki coughed slightly. "Well, it's not horrifically bad, but it's bad."
Even though he was unable to see Thor's expression, he knew he was probably confused.
Loki sighed, "The bullet is still in your body. It is dangerously close to one of your major organs, lots of movement, such as simply standing up, can trigger movement that threatens your life."
Thor was silent, Loki guessing he was just processing all of this.
"Can you do anything about it?"
"In my current state, probably not, but I may be able to use some of my magic to move it further from your organ," Loki replied.
Thor nodded.
A light green aura lightly formed around Loki's hand as he placed it on the wound left on Thor's back.
The bullet seemed to shift, and Thor suddenly let out a yell of agony.
Loki jerked his hands away.
"I'm-I'm sorry.." He quickly apologized.
Thor's breathing was ragged.
"It-it's okay...keep going," He replied, his voice stained with pain.
Loki placed his hand on Thor's back again, and once again the bullet shifted, but when Thor let out a scream of agony again, and became more limp, Loki knew something was wrong.
He moved away from the wound and turned Thor onto his back, seeing his pale and sweating face scrunched into pain.
"Brother? Brother what's wrong?" Loki asked.
A groan escaped Thor's lips as he turned his head to face Loki.
That's when he understood.
The bullet had been coated with poison.
