PLANET: ORCAN
MEMORY ENTRY 2
THE FAllEN WORLD

One year. One year had passed since I became a human. Lanna was eight now, and becoming a survivor. She was mature past her age, learning to hunt and protect herself. I made her weapons from the waste that was my ship body. Every action I took was towards her survival. I was alive, breathing and moving because of the motivation she had given me. This planet of Orcan was beautiful, but deadly creatures inhabited it. The oceans anf forests, home to various monsters and killers. The only upside, was that the Helios were nowhere close to this galaxy.

"Lanna, night is coming fast. We need to start heading back to our home." I spoke, as I checked the girl over. Her blonde hair was down to her legs now, flowing behind her in the planets wind. She had ran out of proper clothing, and now wore a tattered white shirt stained in blood, paired with old ragged jean shorts. Her hands were still wrapped in the gauze I had found in the wreckage of ny body. The single first aid kit. There was also gauze around her shoulder, the aftermath of the Dradi we had encountered two days ago. It was a giant deer like creature, razor sharp fangs and knife like claws at its feet.

"Ok Prime, lets go home!" She spoke clearly and happily. To my amazement, she never seemed to think about her family, or the other passengers, and out of fear i refused to bring them up. Everything here was peaceful, except for the knowledge that the moteor storm from our landing had Lanna poisoned, even though the effects were still not showing any symptoms. Before that time came, I would come up with a solution. I had to. For my one true friend, for the small girl who was becoming a trained warrior.

The house I had constructed was roughly four miles northwest, but getting there was the easy part. The time was approaching fast when the ground worms came out. They were bad news, but so was Lannas shock dagger and my own Zelpha warrior form. Lanna had seen me change many times, she was afraid the first time but after the next few she grew accustomed to my deadly looks and power. The wind picked up, and the ground beneath my started to slowly shake. We were in the hive, the worms main feeding ground.

"Lanna, get behind me. Now!"
I spoke the order, as the girl moved, knowing I was about to change.

The metal and wires inside my skin came to life, springing into place preparing for a fight. My fake skin sliced open and ripped itself from my black exoskeleton. My face, a black shell of hard metal, expanded and twisted, becoming four parts suspended my metal rodes and circuits, as my eyes became gaurded by glass and viewing screens. My arms grew thicker, as deadly spiked claws burst from my thin fingers, becoming deadly weapons themselves. My lower half had the same type of change, becoming sturdy as a tank, as my whole body was strong enough to destroy a reinforced bunker with one strike. Each time I activated my warrior form, my mind became a haze, and only the voice of Lanna could keep me grounded and contained, and she was aware of this.

As the deadly worms burst from the ground, making a beeling towards us, Lanna placed her back into my metal body, her shock dagger poised, and spoke.

"Prime, stay with me, dont let the darkness take you. Your my best friend and I need you with me."

Her words reached my darkness and brought me to the light. I was ready, ready to protect her.

"Lets do this Lanna"

I screamed, and leaped into action. The giant worm infront of me dove to swallow me whole, as I dodged left, my clawed hand neatly ripping a clean hole in its red stomach, as its guts tainted the ground. My head snapped to the next target and did the same. My sensors alerted to Lannas movements. She was slower then I was, but just as capable. Her body held her ground as the dagger slashed, arc after arc, slicing deep into the worms as the fell one by one. Her eyes held no fear as she destroyed the powerful worms, staining her white shirt with even more blood and dirt. I let myself drift from her back to my targets. My legs sprang into action, launching myself towards the nearest worm as I held out my hand and focused on the power of my key heart.

"Key heart initiate. Full spectrum blast cannon," I spoke, and my fingers split apart, twisting together and becoming a hand cannon, the silver barrel stretching out from arm, a thin circle forming where my hand was at the guns base. Sparks evacuated from the circle base as a thin light energy exploded into the worm, slicing clean through its head, dropping the worm with a loud blast. I turned to more worms, targeting each ones head and cleaning blasting them to thier death.

"Prime, theres an opening, lets go!" The voice of Lanna rang in my ear, as the child grabbed my free black metal hand and led me quickly out of the circle of worms, towards our home. I focused my energy and let my body shrink again, become a humanoid robot like creature, before my body regenerated the skin, becoming prime once again. My mind cleared, and my human like thought returned to me. I was calm and at peace, ready to focus all my energy once again on keeping Lanna safe. I looked her over again, and noticed a new large slash on her leg.

"Lanna, you got cut, are you ok?" I spoke and used my superhuman strength to pick her up in my arms as I ran towards the place we called home.

"Im fine Prime, really, I'm just glad you didnt lose control this time. Your scary when you go crazy."

Even though her words were true, she gave me a deep smile, enjoying the chance to not have to walk. She was tough, especially tough for an eight year old, but I knew the battle took alot of her energy away. She was breathing heavily and my censors showed her heartbeat was overly fast. The camp was only two miles away now, but I had to keep my pace. I had placed a force field like barrier around the perimeter, meaning our camp was the only safe place at night. Besides the monsters and creatures, there was an intelligent race or Oraons on this planet, but years of exposure to the meteor strikes had made them feral and murderous. This race was mostly nocturnal, and often tried to raid our small camp.

"We are almost there Lanna, how does devil fish sound tonight?" I asked her as she nodded her tired head yes.

There was a various supply of fully edible plants and animals on this planet. I had spent a large amount of time gathering a supply of Lannas favorite meals. Devil fish for dinner. Breakfast was always Dreen fruit and Halli leaves. For lunch she enjoyed a mix of Wercat and Gali meat. I myself did not require any food, however Lanna felt better when I ate with her.

"Prime, tell me a story" she spoke the same words as she often did, begging with her eyes to make up another story of glorious victories and a princess being saved.

My mind searched my vast banks of knowledge, careful not to repeat one i had already told her.

I began to speak, softly like i always did

~~~~
Fire had swept the kingdom, and the evil king, Zella, captured the young princess from the castle. The war took the life of many in the kingdom, and the Princess was sad and afriad. After many years, a traveling villager came to save to princess. The end
I cut the story short, because befor i had finished the first sentence, Lanna was happily asleep in my arms, worn out from the day of getting stronger. I looked ahead of me, and saw the lights from our camp. I entered, sending the signal from my mind to shortly stop the force field before it went back in after we had entered.
I softly put Lanna in the bed I had salvaged from the ship wreckage, and began to make a fire to cook her food. I knew she would only sleep for about two hours and would wake up hungry like always. As i cooked and watched her sleep, I spoke softly.
"One day Lanna, one day when your ready we will leave this planet."
