More Than Friends.

Prelude to a beautiful thing

"War? Awe Larry I thought we were friends?" I laughed.
"Us are." He said while simultaneously hitting me with the pillow.
"Ohhhh it's so on now." I said standing on top of my bed.
We were locked in a vicious pillow fight. He dived across the bed tackling me. We laid there for a moment staring into each others eyes.
"You so beautiful Nautari." He finally broke the silence. My chest heaved up and down as his breath brushed across my face. I waited with baited breath for his lips to caress mine. He got closer and closer, then the phone rang ruining the moment.
"Hello" Larry answered breathless.
"What the hell you doing bro" Lau laughed.
"Nothing"
"Eleni called us have for be in New York in two days."
"Okay" he said hanging up the phone.
"What's wrong?"
"I have for be in New York in two days."
"Oh." I said a bit disappointed.
"You should come Nautari."
"I can't I have to work."
"You non have for work I got you."
"I can't let you do that Larry."
"I non understand."
"I can take care of me. All I require is your friendship."
"You'll always have that cheri"
Sometimes the things he say has this affect on me that I can't explain.
"Well since you're leaving in two days minds well make the best of it." I said standing up.
"Whatchu mean?" Larry asked.
"Wear something nice I'm taking you guys out." I said
"I should be telling you that." He laughed.
I have never been the girly type of girl. I was comfortable in jeans and sweat pants but for him I was willing to go way out of my comfort zone. I got in the shower letting the water flow over my body. I got out and straightened my hair. I applied a small amount of make up. I walked back into my bedroom towel wrapped around my body. I searched through my closet for something to wear. I pulled out a sleek black dress and a pair of spiked stilettos. I got dressed put on some deodorant and perfume and exited the room.
Larry, Laurent and Khadija was all sitting on the couch deep in conversation. Laurent spotted me first he tapped Larry on his shoulder pointing in my direction. Larry turned around and his mouth completely dropped.
"Damn Nautari you look amazing" was all he could say.
I looked down at the floor and blushed.
"You guys ready?" I asked.
"Let's go" both twins said.
Laurent drove and Khadija sat in front with him. I sat in the backseat with Larry. He pulled out his phone and begin to snap pictures of me.
"This the way I want for remember you." He said.
We finally reached the club the valet took the car. We walked inside and instantly they were recognized. I was slightly caught between them and screaming fans. I was rescued by Khadija pulling me towards her.
"Thank you girl." I said once we were escorted to our booth.
"I had to save your boney ass before you got trampled." She laughed.
The twins were finally able to push their way through the crowd. A waitress came to take our drink orders. I had to admit that I got a little jealous when the waitress was flirting with Larry. I couldn't really say anything he wasn't my man. I had no right. I swallowed my pride and ordered my drink. I sat and watched as they mixed and mingled with the crowd. Larry made his way back to me.
"Come on." He said pulling me onto the dance floor.

"I love this song." I whispered in his ear.
"Me too" he said.
Before I knew it I was wrapped around his waist and those hip thrusts were kinda making me horny.
I quietly moaned to his delight.
I was flushed knowing that he heard me. By the time my feet hit the ground my legs were unstable and I was breathing heavily.
"I need air." I said
"Okay."
He grabbed my hand and pushed through the crowd to the exit. We sat outside staring at the moon. He looked at me and I looked at him both of us searching for words to say. I knew deep inside that we both wanted more but didn't know how to even enter into that conversation.  The night ended and we head home. That night something happened to me that never has happened since I've know Larry. I dreamt about him. It felt so real so intense that I woke up drenched in my own sweat. I showered and went back to sleep. The next morning I couldn't even look him in the eye.
"What's wrong Nautari you having dreams about me now." He joked.
I chuckled nervously. He pulled out some pancake mix and begin to cook breakfast. I sat and watched him move about the kitchen a man that could cook was the sexiest thing in the world to me.
We ate breakfast while watching cartoons. We were both big ass kids at heart. Later that evening we sat and watched movies before we fell asleep. He held me in his arms and I could hear his heart singing to me. I surrendered to his melody. The night passed quickly and the morning sun set in. It was time for them to go to New York. Khadija and I went to the airport to see them off.  Before they boarded Larry and I had a moment.
"Call me as soon as you land okay." I said.
"I promise."
My heart sunk as he walked through the gate he looked back and waved at me I waved back.

It has been two weeks since I last saw Larry but we talked every day. He has been in three different countries since leaving New York. It was kinda weird but I missed him like crazy. I was cleaning my apartment when the phone rang.
"What you doing cheri."
"Nothing just cleaning."
"Hey you want for come to Brazil with us."
"Sounds fun but I'm not sure if I can get off work."
"Non worry I talk to you boss." He joked.
"Yeah right." I laughed..
"If I can get off then yeah I'm down."
After we hung up I called my boss and got approved for the time off. She said I was way over due for an vacation.
Next I called Khadija to see if she was down to go. Of course she was going to go. Wherever Lau was that's where she wanted to be.
I called Larry back and told him I was able to go.  He sound like he was excited. I didn't know that this trip was going to turn my whole life around.
