Chapter 30

Yuzu and Himeko walked away from the group going somewhere private
Shai...
"So...this is about Shai right?" Yuzu asked
"Yes...and I'm worried. I know I shouldn't be thinking about it but...I can't stop. I'm just really worried about her..." Himeko said as she looked down. Yuzu sighed deeply and clenched her fists tightly
"Does it have something to do with her ex?" Yuzu asked. Himeko's eyes widen and looked up at her
H-how did she know?! Wait...she must know Shai's past too
"Y-yes...it is" Himeko said
"Damnit...all this time I kept telling her to leave it all behind but she won't listen. Grr...if Shai is doing those things then I'll seriously get pissed off at her" Yuzu said as her expression turned into fury which scared Himeko
I've never seen her mad before in my entire life. She always smiles and is very kind to others...
"Is it really that bad?" Himeko asked
"Well...has she told you about it?" Yuzu asked
"No...not all of it. She mentioned about getting into gangs and stuff like that after...her mother abandoned her and her father" Himeko said
"Yeah...my uncle got into pretty fucked up gangs. All he wanted was to get money and be able to take care of Shai. Shai learned a few tricks from him as well...to fight" Yuzu said
"Is he still doing that stuff?" Himeko asked
"No...he stopped because my mother decided to help him out. He accepted her offer and Shai's father actually changed...but I don't think Shai did" Yuzu said
"What makes you say that?" Himeko asked
"Well...Shai acted a little off during school. She was really quiet and shy but...whenever someone came up to her she would only tell them to leave her alone" Yuzu said
"She did? Why?" Himeko asked
"Well...I never knew why. She was always kind and sweet with me but with others...she would give them the cold shoulder" Yuzu said
Flashback
The little kids were outside playing since it was their playtime. The blonde girl only smiled seeing her friend
"Hey Yuzu-chan! How are you?" A girl said as she smiled
"Ah! Hi Kin-san" Yuzu said as she smiled brightly
"How are you today?" Kin asked
"I'm doing great. What about you?" Yuzu asked
"Well...uhm...I was trying to make a new friend today but uh...she seemed a little...strange" Kin said
"Eh? Strange? What do you mean?" Yuzu asked
"Uh...she always mumbled a few things during class. I overheard them since I sat next to her..." Kin said and looked down worriedly. Yuzu looked at her and placed her hand on her shoulder
"Uhm...may I ask who this person was?" Yuzu asked
"Oh she had your last name. Shai Okogi" Kin said
"Ah her..." Yuzu said
'Oh no...what happened with Shai now? Did she seriously do it again? Ugh Shai...why do you always act like that?'
"Hehe yeah she's my cousin. She moved in today and well...she's getting used to this new school" Yuzu said as she smiled nervously
"Oh no wonder she was quiet during class. Even the teacher was trying to introduce herself but...it didn't go so well. She must be really shy and timid..." Kin said
"Haha yeah she really is shy" Yuzu said
"Does she always act like that?" Kin asked
"Not really. She is usually sweet and kind" Yuzu said
"Are you sure? Because the way I see her...uhm she is a little bit mean and rude" Kin said
"She is. I'll introduce her to you since she is too shy. Where is she?" Yuzu asked as she looked around
'Hm? She is pretty easy to spot but why is it difficult for me to find her?'
"Oh there she is!" Yuzu said and walked up to Shai. Shai was sitting alone watching the kids play
'They're all so happy...'
"Hey Shai!" Yuzu said waving at her. Shai's eyes widen and looked up seeing the blonde haired girl
"Hey Yuzu" Shai said as she smiled back but soon her smile faded away seeing another girl
'Huh? Who the heck is she? Didn't I see her before?'
"Hey Shai. Let me introduce you to Kin Lyrin" Yuzu said
"H-hey Shai" Kin said as she smiled
"Hi..." Shai said coldly
"U-uh...Shai are you okay?" Yuzu asked
"Yes..." Shai said
"Are you sure? Because you never act like this..." Yuzu said
"S-sorry...but it's nothing" Shai said. Yuzu looked at Shai worriedly
'Shai...you are not okay. I can tell that you're not okay. Please tell me what's wrong? I'm here for you whenever you need me...I can help'
"Shai did something happen?" Yuzu asked
"No...nothing" Shai said as she looked down
"Uhm...I'm gonna go now" Kin said as she stepped back and left the two
"Y-yeah sure. See ya later Kin" Yuzu said
"Bye Yuzu-chan" Kin said and left. Yuzu looked at Shai and sat down next to her
"Do you want to talk about it?" Yuzu asked
"About what?" Shai asked
"Well...what's going on with you?" Yuzu asked
"Nothing is going on..." Shai said
'I just...want to be alone right now...'
"Shai are you sure? Because I heard from Kin that you were acting strange. You kept mumbling a few things about something..." Yuzu said
"It's nothing..." Shai said
"Shai come on. You don't have to be scared" Yuzu said
"I am not scared. There is nothing going on okay? I am perfectly fine" Shai said as she stood up
"B-but Shai-"
"Yuzu...I just want to walk alone for a bit okay? I'm perfectly fine. Stop worrying about me..." Shai said as she walked away. Yuzu stood up and looked at her concerned. She sighed deeply as she looked down
'What are you thinking about Shai? What is going on?'

This is bad...ugh...Shai you better not be doing shit like that. You promised...
"Thank you for telling me. I will talk to Shai about this" Yuzu said
"Thank you for helping. I'm just...really worried about her" Himeko said as she looked down fidgeting with her fingers
"Don't worry Himeko...I will see what's going on with Shai okay?" Yuzu said and patted Himeko's head softly. Himeko would usually scold her for touching her hair but this time she didn't mind since she was worried about Shai
"Do you know where is she right now?" Yuzu asked
"N-no. The last time I saw her was when Nitski came in and took her away. I-I'm not so sure if she has something to do with it too..." Himeko said
"Okay. I'll talk to her right now" Yuzu said
"Thank you so much" Himeko said
"No problem" Yuzu said. She looked around trying to find Shai
Probably outside since Himeko said Nitski took her away. I thought Shai was the only one into these situations...I guess Nitski too
Yuzu started walking towards the exit until she saw Nitski and Shai walking back inside
There they are...
"Hey Shai" Yuzu said as she stood there waiting for her. Shai looked upsetting up with Yuzu's serious green eyes
Damnit...Himeko must've said something. Now how am I going to get out of this one? I'm just going to pray...
"Ah hey Yuzu" Nitski said
Shit...Shai's dead if Yuzu finds out about the situation
"Hey Nitski" Yuzu said
"What are you standing her for? Aren't you suppose to be with your girlfriend?" Nitski asked
"Yes but...I must have a word with Shai about something very important" Yuzu said as she looked at Shai. Shai gulped and clenched her fists tightly
"Sure" Shai said
"Let's head out now" Yuzu said as she walked away
"Good luck" Nitski whispered. Shai only followed Yuzu heading out. Nitski giggled and was about to walk away until she bumped into Himeko
"Oh hey Eyebrows" Nitski said
"Shut the hell up and tell me what you two were talking about" Himeko said
"I can't say anything okay?" Nitski said
"At least tell me what's going on..." Himeko said
"I'm afraid I can't say that. The only person that can tell you is Shai. Don't worry too much about it..." Nitski said and walked passed her. She looked around and realized she couldn't find Matsuri or her two fated mates
Hmmm? Now where could they be? Hehe is Matsuri finally having her threesome?
"Yo Glasses and Mysterious girl. Where the fuck is Matsuri and her two bitches?" Nitski asked
"Are you talking about Mitsuko and Mei?" Maruta asked
"Yeah them" Nitski said
"The last time I saw Mitsuko was around here but she said she was going to check up on someone" Maruta said
"Aihara-san helped out your cousin and I saw her leave with Taniguchi-san and Aihara-san" Shiraho said
"Ah thanks" Nitski said and smirked
Hehe...so Matsuri is going to fuck her two little sluts? Haha!

Yuzu and Shai were outside. Shai only stood there as she looked down
"Do you have something to say?" Yuzu asked. Shai only stayed silent as she tried to look calm

Flashback
"So what do you plan on doing?" Shai asked
"Tell that slut to bring the whole gang to fight..." Nitski said
"Wh-what? Fight?" Shai asked
"We must teach that slut another lesson..." Nitski said
"B-but we can't do that" Shai said
"Why not? If this keeps going then they will be the ones attacking us first" Nitski said
"Ugh...do I have to fight her?" Shai asked
"What do you think dumbass?" Nitski asked as she glared at her
"Y-yeah...I understand" Shai said
"Don't worry I'll bring Juhin and the little pink devil" Nitski said
"E-eh? But Matsuri doesn't do that anymore remember? Hana will get mad..." Shai said
"Relax. It'll be fine. Besides...during a fight Matsuri's desire to protect someone she cares only gets stronger and stronger" Nitski said
'I've seen her fight before and she was a beast hehe... '
"I don't want Matsuri to be involved. I have to fight my own fight" Shai said
"Heh...an Alpha like you fighting them on your own?" Nitski and
"What? You don't think I can?" Shai asked
"It's not that you can do it. It's just...hehe...you know how you get during a fight" Nitski said
"Shut up..." Shai said as she looked down
"Shai...accept it. You just want to kill them all...isn't that right?" Nitski said
"That's what I want to do..." Shai said
"But you can't...can you?" Nitski asked. Shai only looked down and sighed deeply
"When was the last time you killed someone?" Nitski asked
"After my mother left me and my father out in the streets...he taught me many things. I stopped once Yuzu's mother took me in..." Shai said
"Sorry you had to go through that but I understand what you're going through since that's what I went through except...my old man decided to fucking hurt us and our mom. I guess he was pretty much an asshole..." Nitski said and chuckled softly
"I don't get how you're happy after going through all that...doesn't it hurt? Don't you remember? Don't you have nightmares?" Shai asked
"Yeah but I still have my family and friends. Besides...it's all in the past. You can't change the past..." Nitski said
"I know that..." Shai said
"Just be happy Shai. You have a wonderful mate and family. You still have your father who did everything to take care of you...even though they were bad decisions he still did it because he loves you. You have your cousin who also loves you and worries about you..." Nitski said
"Yeah..." Shai said
"Stop thinking about the past. Yes it hurts but just forget it. Now think about your future with your mate and how you want to live your life. Do you still want to remember all that terrible past?" Nitski asked
"No..." Shai said
"Then stop thinking about it. Also don't you ever call yourself a pathetic Alpha...you don't have to win to show that you're an Alpha. Just think like Matsuri...it doesn't matter if you win or lose in a fight. What matters the most is to protect the ones you love..." Nitski said
"Heh...that's what Matsuri believes about being an Alpha" Shai said and sighed
"Come on. Let's head inside. We'll talk about the situation later" Nitski said
"Okay..." Shai said

"Shai...what the hell happened?" Yuzu asked. Shai only looked down and lifted her head up
