⬆⬆⬆Gingerspot!!!!

Did I die? If I died then why am I not in Starclan? Gingerspot only could see blackness. She felt warmth against her back and she could hear cats talking. "I am here to see Gingerspot," a cat meowed.

"You have come in here at least three times a day for three days, its starting to get cramped in here and she needs to rest to recover," a cat grumbled. Gingerspot desperately wanted to open her eyes to see the cats talking. She felt like a newborn kit, barely old enough to see the world for themselves.

"Just let her keep coming. Gingerspot needs all the support she can get to make it through this," a soothing and calm voice meowed. This voice was familiar. It was sweet like honey and Gingerspot wanted to see the cat who just spoke.

With all of her might she held her breath and lifted up her eye lids to look around. She saw Ivyleaf and Moonpaw with a mixture of shock and happiness. "Your awake!" Moonpaw meowed happily. "I'm going to go tell Branchstar," Ivyleaf breathed and raced away.

"Where am I?" Gingerspot croaked, not realizing how weak she felt. "Your in the medicine den," the same soothing voice meowed from behind her. She turned her head and almost bumped noses with Grayfur. Gingerspot was caught in the depths of the handsome toms emerald green eyes.

Moonpaw purred with amusement,"I will leave you two alone." Gingerspot slightly nodded while still staring at Grayfur.

"How did I get in the medicine den?" Gingerspot meowed, breaking the moment between them. For a split second the horrible event caused pain to flash in his eyes, but a heartbeat later it was gone. "I protected you while you were unconcious. Then Stormcloud helped me carry you here," he meowed.

Gingerspot nodded slowly. Then she realized something. Grayfur was laying beside jer and his whole body was rapped around her protectively.

Grayfur seemed to notice as well as he jumped to his paws and gave her some space. "S-sorry about t-that. U-umm I'm going to get you something eat n-now," he stuttered awkwardly and scrambled out of the den. Gingerspot watched him go silently. "You know, he lost it when you fell unconscious," a cat meowed.

A moment later Briarwing padded into the den. "Did he really?" Gingerspot gasped. The brown and white queen purred, "Yep. He saw you get hurt and stayed by your side the whole time. Then when the battle was over he starting freaking out because he though you were going to die." Gingerspot thought about this for awhile. Ever since their first meeting when he was a prisoner the tom had shown affection for her. I mean when I think about him my heart flutters a little bit and I get nervous but its not that big if a deal...Oh no! Am I in love?

"I think he likes you," Briarwing meowed. Gingerspot looked at her paws as her friend studied her closely. "And I think you like him," Briarwing purred. Gingerspot felt her fur grow hot, "W-what! No I d-dont think s-so." Briarwing laughed and flicked her tail, "Whatever. Well I have to go now, but I'll come back and visit."

Gingerspot nodded and watched her friend exit the medicine den. Moonpaw padded past Briarwing into the medicine den. "Where did Grayfur go?" Moonpaw half meowed half purred. Gingerspot rolled her eyes at the apprentice, "Just went to go get me something to eat and nothing more."

Moonpaw gave her an amused look before sitting down in front of her. "So, how are you feeling?" she asked. Gingerspot shrugged, "Tired and in pain." Moonpaw purred and then suddenly turned serious. "So after you went unconscious I decided to go and fight," the small cat meowed.

"What! But you don't know how to fight yet. Did you get hurt?" Gingerspot meowed worriedly. Moonpaw shook her head, "I know but that's the problem. I took on a full grown cat and defeated her. But I also came out with not a single scratch on my body."

Gingerspot's eyes widened in disbelief and amazement. "B-but that's not possible," she breathed. "Well now it is," Moonpaw meowed bluntly.

Gingerspot pondered on this for a while. Should I tell her about the Starclan cats I've seen or will she think I'm being ridiculous? Well its worth a try. "Hey Moonpaw...." she trailed off as Grayfur padded into the den with a thrush in his jaws and Ivyleaf at his side.

Moonpaw glanced at Gingerspot. Gingerspot just shook her head and turned to Grayfur. "Here's a thrush to fill your belly," he meowed and dropped the prey in front of her. She purred, "Thank you Grayfur." The tom seemed to blush at her words.

"I was beginning to think you might be lonely forever Gingerspot. I changed my mind though," Ivyleaf laughed. Gingerspot shyly looked at Grayfur. She could feel the heat radiating off of his pelt. The dark gray tabby tom awkwardly shuffled his paws in the dirt, "I-I'm going to go now. I'll come back later and check on you Gingerspot."

Grayfur quickly walked out of the medicine den. "Ok so what were you going to tell me," Moonpaw asked curiously. Gingerspot couldn't remember what she wanted to tell her apprentice. "Umm I don't know anymore, but when I remember I will let you know," she meowed.

Moonpaw nodded and headed herself to her paws. "Well, I have to go. I'm supposed to be training with Bluepaw and Lionfur today," she meowed and padded out into the clearing.

Gingerspot rested her head on her so we and looked straight ahead at nothing specific. She felt tired. Very tired. The ginger and white she-cat closed her eyes and was greeted by a peaceful darkness.
