Bluepaw!!-----------------------
Moonpaw fidgeted nervously as the sun began to sink into the horizon. Every cat was bristling with excitement and anticipation to sink their claws into a rogues pelt.
Today was the day. The day blood would be spilled and lives would be taken. It didn't have to be this way but Blazestar wanted a fight, so that's exactly what they were going to give him.
Branchstar had told the clan that this battle wasn't going to be fought with clan rules. If they wanted to survive they had to fight to kill. Every rogue they come across should be dead by the time the battle is over.
Moonpaw wasn't ready. She was as nervous as ever. Her fur spiked with fear and nervousness. Gingerspot realized and smoothed down her fur calmly with her long fluffy tail. "Hey, you are going to do just fine. Just remember what our plan is," she meowed.
Moonpaw nodded but didn't stop fidgeting. This morning Squirrelleap had taken Gingerspot and Moonpaw out of camp to discuss what they were going to do.
"Our main goal should be to kill Blazestar," Squirrelleap had cut straight to the point. "But he has nine lives," Gingerspot had meowed.
"We need to make sure we give him a wound he can't recover from," Moonpaw suggested. The two sisters had nodded with agreement.
Branchstar's yowl cut through Moonpaw's thoughts. "Its time," the Sunclan leader meowed. Every cat took that time to say a few words to their loved ones in case it was their last.
Moonpaw walked over to her littermates and touched noses with each one of them. "After this battle I'm going to be very disappointed if I don't get my warrior name," Reedpaw joked. They all laughed before padding away to their assigned dens.
Moonpaw walked over to her mother and father. They both licked her head affectionately. "Whatever happens I want you to know we will always be with you and your littermates," Snowdrop meowed. Moonpaw purred, "I know."
She said her goodbyes and walked back to the warriors den. Squirrelleap had just gotten back from talking with Nightpelt and her kits when Moonpaw arrived. "Are you ready?" Gingerspot asked. Moonpaw nodded, "As ready as I'll ever be."
They all walked into the warriors den and crouched in the middle of the den. Moonpaw saw Grayfur pressed up against Gingerspot. Harepaw was beside her slightly shaking. "Hey, your going to do just fine," she soothed.
The tan and white tom gave her a grateful look before staring at the entrance to the den. Moonpaw realized she was slightly shaking as well. She had to remind herself that everything would be ok. At least she hoped it would be.
*-----------------------*
It was now moonhigh and she could just see outside the den. Moonpaw could barely see the brown and white pelt of Branchstar as he crouched close to the entrance to the medicine den.
