RECAP

"Three people went missing while camping out in the forest and disappeared."

"Trevor Collins, Janice Young, and Piper Moran."

Dean gets attacked by a demon, feels a sharp pain and then it was gone.

"They're Nephilims. I'm Zemira."

"Are you serious man?"

"What?"

"Really?"

"Dean! Shoot!" Dean misses.

They find Dean on the floor. "Dean! Are you okay?" Sam asked, rushing to his side.

"He's infected."

"You and I will be trekking the forest to find them."

"That's good. Just rest Dean."

PRESENT

Sam and Zemira were both walking through the forest. Luckily, they had not gotten in the middle of any fights so far.

So far, so good Sam thought to himself. He glanced over at Zemira. Maybe now is my chance to make a move on her. But his thoughts went back to Dean, who was probably on the verge of dying. I just can't manage to lose him. What if those demons attack Castiel and Dean?

"Sam." Zemira's soothing voice said, as she gently touched his arm. "Don't worry. Castiel and Dean are safe. All of these cabins are protected by an enchantment. Nothing can destroy the cabins nor get inside."

"Nathaniel?" Sam asked.

She nodded. Then she pointed towards the left. "We have to head off this way off the path. "Don't worry. We will find Trevor and save Dean."

"Does Dean really have only eight hours to live?" Sam asked, catching up beside her.

"Technically twelve, but I estimated if we get delayed, it gives us a bit more time to spare."

Sam nodded. "Those dead bodies we found. Humans?"

"Yes."

"How did they die?"

"The virus. They got infected. It's not just those two. I've seen other bodies lying around in this forest. No one seems to find the dead bodies in this forest, because the forest is so huge. It's also too hard to find their way out, unless they really know the forest well enough."

"Like you?" Sam asked.

"Yes, I know this forest very well. I know everyone who lives and dwells in this forest."

*

Back at the cabin, it was mostly quiet, other than Dean's coughing fits every now and then. Some were just little bits of coughing and others were longer. Each longer coughing fit seemed to last longer than the last time.

Castiel had tried to offer him some soup earlier, but he declined. It was not like Dean to refuse food. He definitely was not himself.

Castiel was sitting in a chair near the bed. He glanced over at Dean. His breathing had not gotten better and he was starting to hear a faint wheeze when he coughed.

Dean started coughing again.

"Dean." Castiel rose up from his chair over next to Dean, as he crouched down.

Dean coughed hard, before he looked up into Castiel's concerned eyes. "Cass," he managed to say. His voice sounded hoarse. He swallowed, before he spoke again. "Where's Sam?"
