Y/N's POV.

"Y/n, Where are you going?!" I heard a voice call out to me on my way out of the palace.

I turned around only to be greeted by Lucio. "Oh, I was just going out to get a few groceries!" I smiled. "I wanted to make you some breakfast but I noticed I was missing some things."

"But Y/n, I can have my cooks make us breakfast!"

I felt a slight frown tug at my lips. "But I like cooking for you..."

"But-"

"Please?" I gazed into his soul with my big puppy eyes, pouting.

"... Fine. I can't say no to that face..."

I chuckled. "Let's go then!" I grabbed his hand and dragged him out the door.

"Wait, Y/n! I need to get ready!"

I stopped and turned to him. "But it takes you forever to get ready!"

"I'll be quick this time, I promise!"

"Fine..." I sighed.

Time Skip.

"I'm ready, dear~" Lucio said striding out of his room towards me.

"It's been two hours..." I groaned.

"That was quick! A new record, eh?" Lucio smirked and jabbed me with his elbow.

I sighed. "Let's just go already."

Time Skip.

We hopped out of the carriage and made our way into the market. I heard a bunch of gasps, murmuring, and people calling out Lucio's name. I think I might have even heard my name a couple of times. People were parting ways like the Red Sea as we walked through the market. This always happened when I was ever out with Lucio. I thought I would be used to it by now but I can't help but feel a bit awkward with a bunch of judging eyes on me.

I felt an arm wrap around me. "It's okay, Y/n. You're safe with me~" Lucio winked and gave my shoulder a firm reassuring squeeze.

I couldn't help but smile as we went on our way.

We soon arrived at a shop that was stocked full of things I was looking for.

"Y/n?? Long-time no see!" I was greeted with a welcoming hug from the shop keepers wife.

"Oh hey, It's been a while!" I smiled and returned the hug.

"Wow, Y/n... You've grown so much!" She pinched my cheeks beaming at me. "Just look how handsome you are!~"

"Oh! T-Thank you...!" I couldn't help but smile at her sweet compliment.

"Of co-" She gasped in shock and pulled me off to the side.

"I didn't know you knew the Count...!" She whispered loudly.

I looked back at Lucio as he was busy looking around the shop. "Oh him?" I looked back. "It's a long story..." I chuckled and scratched the back of my neck awkwardly.

"Hey, little lady, long time no see!" I heard a familiar voice approach me catching me off guard. It was the shop keeper.

The shop keeper's wife looked as shocked as I did. I remember, she had always keep reminding him to stop calling me by that name and why, but he unfortunately always forgot.

"EXCUSE ME?" Lucio slid in front of me out of nowhere. "Don't EVER refer to my, Y/n as a little-"

I shoved past Lucio and faced him. "N-No, Lucio, i-its okay!" I shock my hands frantically trying to deescalate the situation.
