Travis and... who?

Travis sighed as he crumpled up yet another letter he wrote. No matter what he did he couldn't seem to get the write words to come out on to the paper. Maybe his pencil was working against him, or maybe he just didn't know how to express his feelings properly. Whatever the case, he was getting frustrated. He was so lost in thought he didn't notice his friend walk in to his bedroom and lay on his bed like it was normal. Travis groaned and set his head against the table, trying to get his braincells to work by hitting them.

"Travis, my buddy, loosen up!" the best friend chirped.

Travis nearly screamed and broke his neck trying to turn around to see him, "Dante?! When did you get in my room?!" Travis was surely annoying his roommates with the yelling but he couldn't seem to care.

Dante only laughed and said "I've been here for a bit, but that's not important. What is important is what you're writing in here. You've been ignoring my texts all morning."

Travis took a minute to look at his neglected phone, only to see the 38 missed messages from his blue haired friend. He sighed and mumbled what was supposed to be an apology and rubbed his eyes. Dante chuckled and rolled his eyes, "I'll forgive you as long as you tell me what you're doing." Travis turned a bright red and shook his head quickly, picking up his notebook and hiding it behind him. This sparked Dante's interest, and when Dante has interest nothing can stop him. Without a word, Dante got up and walked closer to Travis.

"You'll never take me alive!" Travis shouted before sprinting out of the room and down the stairs.

"TRAVIS VALKRUM GIVE ME THAT BOOK." Dante's shouts were heard, but ignored.

Travis honestly believed he was scott free, he could always stay at a friend's house until things with Dante calmed down. What Travis didn't take into account, was the fact it was 8
9 am, and his other two roommates hadn't had coffee because they were out. Laurence would be fine without coffee, he was a naturally awake person and normally gave himself enough time to wake up before taking with people. Garroth on the other hand can not function properly without the hot dark liquid. May Irene have mercy on your soul if you were to anger Garroth before his coffee.

Travis, did just that. He ran past Laurence and right into the kitchen, only to slam into Garroth. Both young men ended up on the floor, one very confused Travis and a very angry Garroth.

"I-im sorry Garro-" Travis started.

"You have 5 seconds to run" Garroth wouldn't look Travis in the eyes.

"huh? what are you talking about?"

"Five... four... three"

Travis realized what he did and got up to run again. Only to see Dante standing in the doorway. Garroth was at 2. Travis was running out of options. Then, an idea came to his mind, and after calling himself crazy a few times, he took a running start and jumped out the window. Dante and Garroth both stood there in shock as Travis bolted down the street, holding his notebook to his chest.

"I think he deserves that win" Dante said, staring at the broken glass.

Garroth nodded, "I might forgive him now."

Travis eventually made it to a safe spot. It was nothing fancy, just a circle of bushes with an opening just big enough for a person to sit in the middle. He crawled in and got comfortable, not thinking he'll be able to leave soon. Travis pulled out his pencil and started to write again, determined to get his letter perfect.

After all, it's not ever day you give your best friend a love letter.
