All I Want

Camila Mendes and Charles Melton got married, they've been married and after weeks of that whole in her heart she decided that she should see about living her best life. She was no longer going to worry about KJ; he made that decision when he refused all her phones calls after her wedding and completely blank her text messages. She went on vacation with her husband, girl trips, took up roles in different movie genres, she was happy.

Happiness was all KJ wanted for her, and viewing from her social accounts he saw that she was; she saw her smiles the smiles that he wished he brought to her face, but like he always labeled himself; he is that of a coward. His heart was shattered and no one night stand can heal the empty part of his life. He played it off well though, he went to clubs, he travelled, he started touring with his band, and life was good. He drowned himself into music so he could blur out everything that had happened and he considered that moving on. His parents however wouldn't consider it that, since he now also drinks and smoke more than usual.
He ignored their comments, he ignored social media and he moved on. That was until Cole and Lili decided to mail him their wedding invitation in 2023. A whole year after the shattering of his heart, he was now labeled a groomsman for this wedding. Did he want to go? No. Except him and Cole were best buds, they always checked up on one another regardless of the mess that went down. Now KJ is currently packing for a weekend in the Caribbean because what better way to celebrate than to have a destination wedding.

Barbados 2023 (October 20th)
Everyone was schedule to reach on Friday and stay until Sunday noon. Camila landed with the entire bridal party since they had a week filled with girls' nights and shopping. KJ came from New Zealand, he was trying to avoid any unnecessary confrontations.
The schedule for the weekend was that on Friday they'd have dinner with the close mates and all their guests would join them for drink and cutters later on, on the balcony they booked for the night. They all were busted from the long flight and need a cat nap before the exhausted weekend ahead.

At the restaurant they all agreed to meet at, KJ reached a little later than schedule due to him oversleeping as a result of drinking a little too much in preparation to see her. Her being Camila was actually the first person his eyes landed on when he entered. She was laughing open mouthed, and what a beauty she is. He quietly sat down, greeting everyone and smiling at her meekly before engaging in conversation with Casey. Both of them secretly staring glances at each other, having no clue how to greet one another. What he overheard was that Charles couldn't attend due to shooting a movie in Alaska. At least KJ wouldn't feel to punch himself in the gut over the weekend. As the dinner went by everyone can observe how excessive KJ was drinking since his tolerance increased over the last year. They became a little worried but he held it together, let's see how long it goes on during the long night ahead.

After dinner, everyone gathered on the balcony which overlooked the ocean which is basically a visual reflection of the night sky, it was beautiful. The couple of the evening was cuddled up while going over the necessities for tomorrow, the wedding with the parents. Everyone else was mingling catching up with each other's lives; it was a beautiful get together with majority almost wasted especially the ex-Riverdale cast. KJ was alone though, leaning on a tree close to the beach, smoking on the sidelines as he was long gone with enough whiskey in his system. Cami didn't know if it was the liquid courage or the fact that she hasn't seen him in so long she took the path that led straight to him.
"Hey." She said as she approached him.

Oh boy.
