Sebastian's POV
"Dude!...dude get up!" I can faintly hear Mackie shouting, wait why is Mackie shouting...ugh why am I lying on the ground and why does my head hurt, as a rub my hand over it,
"What the?" Theres dry blood on my hand.
"Man are you okay, what happened , where's Jess?" Mackie asks frantically.
"I dont know what happen- what do you mean where's Jess...where's Jess" I starts to panic.
"Okay calm down, we'll figure this out together, what is the last thing that you remember?" Mackie asks as he is trying to calm me down.
"Okay um, Jess wanted to tell me something, and then she randomly said someone's name...
Oh it was her exe's name, and then everything went dark after that - what if he took her man, what if he took Jess?"
"Uncle Anthony, where's my mom?"
Anthony and I both look up to see Lucian standing by the front door of Anthony's house, we then both looked at each other clearly not knowing what to say to Lucian. Then I spoke up-
"Hey little man, your mom had to quickly run to aunt Hazels place, but she said us guys and Bethany should stay here and have lots of fun, can you do that for mommy ?"
"Okay" Lucian says with a big smile forming on his face. And he then ran back inside.
I then looked back at Mackie -
"Man what are we gonna do?" Mackie asks looking really distressed
"Well we are going to have to go to the police, explain everything that has happened, then we have to let Hazel know and Jess's work know."
"Okay man with a plan, what about Lucian? "
"Okay, let's not tell him anything until we know for sure what happened"
"Yeah but where will he stay?"
"Jess doesnt have family in the US, and I'm not working on anything for the next few weeks so he can stay with me, I'm close to his school anyway."
"Wow man, have you ever looked after a kid, because its not the same as looking after your cactus?"
"Its okay, it'll be good for the both of us to have each other"
Okay let me go in and find Lucian.
"Lucian, buddy I gotta talk to you?" I called him to sit by next to me on the couch
"Yes, Uncle Sebastian"
"Well I was thinking why dont we have a little boys holiday, just you and me and we do cool things together, but you gonna have to to stay with me for a bit"
"Will my mom be okay"
"Aww dont worry about that little man, it's all been taking care of, all you gotta do is say yes, so what's it gonna be, are you in?"
I stare at him trying to read his blank expression
"Yeah let's do it" he then gives me a hig and runs out the sitting room shouting his gonna have a boy's trip, as if we are going on a road trip.
I just sit there chuckling but then it starts to dawn on me...
I'm going to be looking after Jess's son, I have never babysat for more than a few hours let alone atleast for a week s hopefully Jess is found by then but then, but in the meantime it's just gonna be me and Lucian. What if he gets bored or starts to miss his mom or worse just wants his dad. For all we know he is the one that has Jess, against her own will undoubtedly.
"Hey man, you good?" Mackie asks, breaking me out of my trans.
"I don't know if I can do this, I'm not his dad..."
"Hey hey its gonna be okay I was joking about the cactus part , kids aren't that hard once you pass the toddler age, Lucian is a good boy, I dont have any hassles when I baby sit him, trust me he is a dream compared to Bethany
As for Jess we will find her...I promise man" Mackie reassures me, I then look at the time it's almost 19:00 and Jess has told me before that Lucian's bedtime is 20:00, luckily for me, he has left some of his clothes at Mackie's from a previous sleep over so atleast he has some clothes to last him a few days.
I then stand up and walk towards the window and whisper, "Jessalyn if you are out there I will find you...my love"
Hey guys sorry for the long update but uni is real. Sooo...Sebastian is gonna be spending time with Lucian, not forgetting to mention, where is Jess??
