I was quietly sitting on the sofa reading my favorite book "Sense and Sensibility" when i hear a heavy knock on the door. I jump in chock. I put the book from me, and walked over to the door, and quickly opened. It was Gautham. I look shockingly at him. He had changed a lot since we got married. He started to drink and smoke. He got up the three stairs and leaned towards the door opening. He smirks at me.

"You look beautiful tonight!" he says, and smirks.

"Are you drunk?" i ask him and shake my head in disappointment.

A part of me still wanted to believe that he could change. That something real between us could happen. I just felt like he only married me because of how i looked and the intimacy that we shared.

He takes one step closer to me. He's about to fall when he took the step in. I take one hand around my shoulder.

"Quiet, you might wake Hope up" i whisper.

I didn't want a baby in the beginning. I taught it was too early as an 18-year-old to be pregnant. But it sort of just happened. Gautham really wanted a kid in the beginning though. My parents didn't get the chance to meet Hope of course. It still hurts thinking about them.

"Oh god, i hate having a kid" he whisperers.

I stop walking and look at him.

Sometimes it would come to my mind if he even cared about me or her. That he only wanted me because of the intimacy we shared. I didn't care when he told me stuff, but I hated when he talked about Hope in that way.

3 year later (21 years)

"Come on! You have to come!" Alexis says.

Alexis was the only white girl i was friends with. She was the only one that took a chance on me. Right now she is in her natural state of asking me to go to a party as usual. It would usually end with me going, but i would still try to resist. I wasn't really the party type.

"You know how awkward I am. I just don't work at parties. Besides, i don't think Gautham is gonna let me go." i say hoping she wouldn't hear it.

"Where is he?" she asks and rushes inside.

"I don't think it's a good idea. Alexis!" i shout at her, as she rushes into the house.

She goes into Gautham's office. I knew he hated to be disturbed.

Alexis rushes in when Gautham is on a phone call.

He looks at me madly. I look down. He turns off the phone and then looks at Alexis. He makes a fake smile.

"Alexis so nice to see you! What brings you here?" he says pretending not to be mad. He ignores me completely.

"I was wondering if Priya could come to a party with me in town tonight? I promise I'll bring her back before midnight!" she says, and chuckles.

"I don't have to-" I say quietly.

"I mean if you bring her back before midnight i guess it's fine." He says and looks at her smiling.

I roll my eyes. I know Gautham hated Alexis. He hated everyone i talked to. He didn't approve of her.

"Yes, thank you!" Alexis shouts and jumps up and down. I smile at her and forget about Gautham for some seconds.

"Wear something cute" she whispers in my ear. I smile.

She rushes out again. I'm about to go when Gautham grabs my arm. He goes up to my ear. I was too scared to turn around to him.

"You know i don't like to be disturbed" he whispers. I get a chock. It gives me goosebumps down my back as he said it.

"Yeah, i know. I'm so-" i say nervously. I get water in my eyes.

"Sorry doesn't change anything," he whispers.

"I know! It won't happen again" I say.

He slowly let's go of me. I quickly get out closing the door behind me.
