Love or Fixed

Chapter 14

Days went by quickly, and finally, New Year Eve arrived. I was excited to celebrate it with Karan's family. After all, we had been through it finally felt like there was light at the end of the tunnel. Karan wanted me to stay, and i did that because i had nothing without him, and it was only one night more. On the 2nd we had to move all our things, to Gautham's apartment which he gave me for free. I felt happier than ever. Nothing could ruin this one. I had made peace with everyone. I finally fell compleate. Like i was truly happy. 

I was sitting in the kitchen making the finishing touches to the lunch. I decided to make the food since it was my last day in the house. 

"Are you sure you don't want help?" Mrs. Anthony appears in the doorway. 

"Yeah, i can do it myself," i reply back. 

Hope was sitting in the kitchen drawing in her color book.

"Mum, can i help you?" Hope asks suddenly. 

"Yeah, of course, sweetie." she pushed the chair over to me and got up. 

"Look, mommy, i am as high as you now," she said, and chuckled. 

Hope started to mix all the ingredients together.

After some while, we finished making the food. We served it for the others, and we were eating. For the first time in a long time, everyone could talk to everyone. I could talk openly. Of course, it was wired with me and Karan with the whole "giving the ring back" thing, but i decided to think positively from now on. If something was meant to be, it would be. Without no one forcing it. 

At 23:00 p.m.

We decided to not do any fireworks by ourselves, but watch it from a nice view. Karan took us to one of Seattle's top views. Where we could see everything. We arrived at the place, and i saw it was "Space Needle". I instantly felt a ton of memories coming back as i stood in front of it while looking up. I felt like i was gonna throw up.

"You okay?" Karan asks.

"Yeah I'm great" i lied. 

We were standing inside the elevator, and i started to get nervous. Suddenly someone takes my hand. I quickly look down at my hand and see that Karan holds my hand. 

"Hey....youre with me. Don't worry. Nothing's gonna happen. I promise"  He said, and smiled. 

He basically said everything that i wanted to hear. In a second i felt more relaxed. 

We got up to the top, and the door opened. It was an incredible view. It felt like we could almost touch the fireworks. We were so high from the ground. I let out. I let go of his hand. 

"Waow" i let out without realizing it. 

"Yeah, you are" i hear a voice say behind me. 

I quickly turn around, and then i take a step back of chocks. Karan's down on one leg. I see the ring. The ring i gave back to him. My hand automatically goes up to my mouth. Tears start to run down my cheeks. 

"Karan....what are you doing?" i say with almost no voice. 

Everything becomes silent. Everyone becomes silent. People start to point over at us and stare. They smile at us. 

"Look...i know we have had our ups and downs, that's why im doing this agian. Priya i never stopped loving you. I have never truly felt like this with anyone before. You make me a better person. Being with you has changed me. I love you, and i wanna spent the rest of my life with you if you'll let me? Marry me?" Karan says. 

I cry silently. I have never felt so much happiness in my life. 

There are a lot of people around looking at us. 

I look over at Mr. and Mrs. Anthony who's almost crying. Hope looks at me with a happy face. 

"Priya..." Karan hesitates. 

"Yes...Yes of course.... i wanna marry you" i say, and hide my face in my hands. 

Karan gets up and puts the ring on my finger, and then he takes my head in his hands and kisses me. It feels amazing. My stomach tickles. Like a thousand butterflies trying to bust out. 

"I love you"  Karan whispers in my ear. 

" I never stopped loving you" i reply back. 

I pull him closer to me and hug him tightly. 

So....that was my story. Tears, laughs, excitement, and joy. But....just remember everything happens for a reason. What is meant to be yours will be. If it's not this, there's always something better. 

"The universe will shake Heaven and Earth in order for you to receive your goals."
