Zero sat in a chair infront of a desk. On the other side of that desk sat his contractor, Agent Halwell. She looked at a file before adressing him, "Payment is already transferred to your account. Keep alert. Next contract might be sooner than we think, looking at Ruzzo's shipments. They happen steadily until two weeks ago. So keep tabs on your phone. I'll call you when you're needed."
Zero wasnt one for small talk. It didn't suit his personality. So all he did was nod, get up and head for the door. What he didnt see was Halwell frowning as he headed out.He reached his car and didn't even frown when he saw someone in it. He yanked open the door, grabbed the person by the neck, pulled his gun and pinned them to the floor hard. All that in less than 3 seconds.
"What were you doing in my car."
It was a young agent, probably new here and the boy shook under the cold, calculated gaze of Zero."I- I just wanted to check i-it out s-sir."
Every agent in the area had stopped to look. They all knew that Zero wasn't one to mess with.Zero stared hard at the rookie and lowered his gun. "Next time I catch you sniffing through my stuff I'll break both your arms and make you swallow your own teeth got it?"
The young agent nodded shakily and Zero got in his car, a 2017 Dodge Charger filled with all gadgets that could fit in and on it. He started the car and drove out of LT.
A dark shape stepped out from behind a tree and raised a weirdly shaped gun. The figure aimed and pulled the trigger. A small, dull green pulsating device flew towards the black car that crawled out of the Lunar Tower garage and clang onto it. The car continued on its way and the figure stared after its taillights.
Four quiet hours later, in a dark spacious hotel room, Zero opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling of his apartment. Something didn't sit quite well with him. He pounced on his memories and went through them second for second.
Then he got it.In his car when a dull thud coming from his car. That must've been it. He frowned. Unusual.
He got out of bed and walked to his closet. He pulled out a suit. His closet only consisted of suits. All black with a white button up and a red tie.
He suited up and walked to his bathroom. He reached under the sink and pushed a slight bump. The sink disappeared in the floor and a selection of guns loomed in front of him. He picked out two identical silenced pistols, put them in his suit jacket and made his way to the door.
As he stood in the elevator, many scenarios played through his mind. And he created tactics for every single one of them. The doors of the elevator opened. Zero walked out and looked through the garage. He spotted his car and strode casually towards it.
Ten steps. It took ten steps for him to spot the trap and choose a plan of attack. He had noticed a small dull red light coming from the rear of his car, obviously that wasn't supposed to be there. He also spotted the black van at the end of the garage, almost hidden behind two other cars.
When he was four cars away from his own, Zero dipped behind a pilar and pulled out his guns. An engine cicked up and he heard a door slam shut.
He closed his eyes and listened.Footsteps....
Screeching tires......
Pounding.......
Hard breathing.......
Now.
He opened his eyes and aimed with his left hand to the right. He pulled the trigger and the bullet flew an inch from his face. It lodged itself in the neck of a figure wearing all black clothing and they dropped to the ground.
