The following morning, Zero was sitting behind his desk searching through his mission files. All data from previous missions were stored in a disc he had on him at all times.

This time however he was looking for one particular file. One that he had been thinking abt throughout the night.
Finally he found it.

He clicked on the one file that was marked "Unsolved". He skimmed through the file until he found what he was looking for.
Twenty seconds went by before he leaned back and thought hard.

Eventhough he had just confirmed what he had suspected, he was still trying to process how something like that could happen.
He only knew one thing for sure.
Halwell had one very dirty secret and he was going to find out what it was.

He had no time to lose.

As if stung, Zero closed the file and pulled the disc out of the Laptop. He hurried to his closet where he grabbed a black suitcase in case of emergencies.
He paused.
He knew he had heard something.

Before he had time to finish his thought, the door to his apartment blasted open. He shielded his face with his suitcase while jumping backwards. His legs hit the bed and he    managed to flawlessly backroll in a crouch on the other side while yanking his silenced handgun out of his suit jacket.

Three figures in all black suits with strange bear masks rushed in the room pointing their rifles at him.
The first and biggest out of the three fired a bullet in the dresser right next to his face and he rolled to the side.

"Put your hands up right now or the next shot will be the last."
Zero noticed that the booming voice had a strange undertone to it. Probably a voice changer.

Zero slowly brought his left hand up. Then his right arm flew up and threw the suitcase at the figure up front.
Mask number one fired a round at the suitcase in suprise while mask two and three tried to aim around their mate. Zero took the chance to gift each of them a bullet to the head.

Before the masked figures even hit the ground, Zero had swooped up his suitcase, his keys and the disc and bolted out the door.

After driving for an hour to clear his head, Zero pulled into an alleyway on the edge of the city. It was still early and traffic was light. He turned the car off and sank deeper in his seat, ready to get lost in his thoughts.

Who were those guys, what did they want and who sent them.
Three questions that he couldn't answer. He mulled over the gun he had seen in Halwells hands. The same type of gun he had seen the man in the suit carry and the same type of gun in the mission file he had opened.
The mission that had made him, the most ruthless hitman known to mankind, work for Lunar Agency.

He closed his eyes as unwanted memories flooded his mind and he frowned. What to do now?
He couldn't go to the agency now that he had discovered that Halwell kept dangerous secrets.  He was being hunted down by unknowns figures so staying out and about wasnt an option.
He thought long and hard and he came to the same conclusion four times.
Zero frowned at his one and only option but he knew he didnt have any choice. He needed to hide out and he had to do it fast.
With a sigh, which was unusual for him, he pulled out his phone and dialed a number he hadn't used in over seven years.

As the night rolled in, a black car rolled up to an abandoned warehouse. Or so it looked like.

Zero gazed at the old exterior with a blank stare that would unnerve the meanest of criminals. He did not want to be here.
The warehouse was rectangular shaped, big enough to hide a small cruise ship and was situated so far down a dirt road that nobody had stumbled upon it since it was last left alone.
