sirius looked at himself in his bedroom mirror. he was wearing his vintage leather jacket with jeans and doc martens. he revised his outfit. this is casual, right? once he had thought it fit, only changing his hair into a ponytail, he sought out to call remus.
he answered on the third ring. "hello?" sirius smiles at his voice. "hi, love. i was just wondering if i can go now? I know it takes a bit for you to plan everything for a date." sirius could tell remus was checking off everything in his list, meaning that he was probably done preparations. "yes, sirius. you may come now. you should find me under the oak closest to the lake."
sirius said his goodbye and started up his motorcycle, elevendork. nobody knows why it's named that, but it sounds like it was james' idea, seeing as he wanted to name his son "dhaka".
it only took a few minutes to get to his destination, as remus and sirius specifically chose a house near the black lake. the black lake holds much memories for their group of friends they call "the marauders", consisting of james, remus, sirius and peter.
peter was away traveling the world, and james and his wife lily are on a road trip with their son, harry. in fact, both james and sirius had their first kiss with lily and remus under the oak tree they sat at the edge of the lake. that very tree still stands today, and that is where he was meeting remus.
sirius parked elevendork beside an ice cream truck, and scanned the land for remus. he found a curly mess of sandy blond hair waving at him. he smiled and started walking up to him. once he was close enough, he noticed the decor. there was a picnic blanket with a basket, and handfuls of food layer down graciously on the ground.
remus looked up at his husband (remus was sitting down) and offered a hand. said husband took it and he pulled him down rather harshly. sirius gave a surprised yelp, while remus laughed.
"betrayal!" he faked being mad.
"oh did poor little baby get a boo-boo? come, i'll kiss it better." sirius laughed as remus started peppering him with kisses. they laughed and chatted all afternoon, eating sandwiches and complaining about remus' annoying coworker, umbridge. they had chatted so much that by the time they had stopped, it was already evening.
sirius had his head leaning on remus' shoulder, while remus played with his hair. his eyes had started to get heavier by the minute, and before they completely closed, he could hear a small "i love you." pass remus' lips. he smiled, and fell into a dreamless sleep.
