                                   »They witnessed her destruction

then were left to wonder why.

                                     She saw nothing but darkness

though the stars shone in her eyes.

                                       But maybe they'd forgotten

when they failed to see the cracks,

that a stars light shines the brightest

                                    when it's starting to collapse

                                                          E. H.

I could barely keep my eyes open. The strange figure kept coming closer, growing larger with each step. I tried to get up, and while doing so, I instantly touched my chest, where the silver blade pierced my rib-cage, but there was nothing there. Not even a scar.

The person walking towards me, suddenly became more than a mere shadow. She, was a woman touched by beauty. Long, red hair reminded me of never ending field of poppies, strong, piercing blue eyes seemed almost heavenly, and the way she carried herself was not only elegant, but also compelling.

»Welcome,« her lips parted. »Lucija. My name is Caelestis.«

Caelestis...That name rang in my memory. Lucifer's dearest friend. For some reason I imagined that friend as a man, not as the beautiful creature, who just sat down next to me.

»Are you...« I carefully asked in between the lines.

»Yes, I am Lucifer's friend, sister in arms, one of the Fallen.« Her voice was almost like an echo.

»But you're – « My mind put the puzzle pieces together. »Am I dead?« I asked, almost too quietly.

Her gaze caught mine. »Yes,« the answer was simple, yet gentle.

At that time my expression must have changed rapidly. Like a mad woman, I burst out laughing. Not because I found something funny, but because everything I felt just needed to come out as quickly as possible. »So, I guess, now I'm a demon.«

»Not quite,« Caelestis's palm touched my jaw, tenderly pulling me in her direction. »You are so much more than that.«

»What do you mean?«

There was so much more I wanted to ask, so much more I wanted to know, but at that time, all I could think of was the fact, - that I was dead.

»Oh my dear child, you are not meant to be a demon, wasting away in the shadows. You are meant to be something, transcendent. You posses the grace of humanity, but after you wake up, you will also posses the divinity of those who walk the Clouds.« Said Caelestis, observing me, red hair hanging in her face.

»What exactly does that mean?« I was more confused than ever. Can't these old creatures speak like normal people?

She placed her hand on my chest, across my heart. »Right now you are still human, you carry the curiosity that obsesses, the mercy that loves, and love that protects. Those are things unfamiliar to us, Angels and other Demonic creatures. After you wake again, you will not become a Demon,« Caelestis smiled and when she spoke again, she sounded oddly excited. »but an Arch'. Much like us, but the first of your kind.«
