It has been three days since the contract signing with Choi Enterprises that led Jungkook to attend meetings after meetings. To say that the young CEO was exhausted would be an understatement. He couldn't wait for the final stage of their product promotions yet they were almost halfway through.
He hung his dark blazer on his swivel chair and slumped down to his seat. Today wasn't an exception either as his mind wanders to the earlier events and couldn't help but replay the memory he's been fighting to forget.
He's doubting whether he did the right decision in accepting Choi's collaboration knowing that their heir was smitten by his secretary.
Choi Minho is an incorrigible flirt. At least that's what Jungkook thought, seeing how he keeps on sending flirtatious glances towards the blond secretary during the meeting.
The subtle touches and the indirect references struck a nerve within the Alpha. He was glad Taehyung put up a professional front and silently refuse to feed Minho's ego. The Beta simply responded him with witty remarks, trying to evade his coquettish advances but this only pulled Minho to pursue him more as to Jungkook's dismay.
The young Alpha felt his energy drain out completely, remembering how he was on full guard while listening to the lecture at the same time, drawing Taehyung's attention to him when Minho would attempt to strike a conversation.
To think that he will be attending to more meetings and conferences with the Choi's dreaded him the most. He doubts if he can keep this up much longer and put his emotions at bay.
Just the mention of Minho's name made his blood boil.
The refreshing scent of sea spray and sand lingered in the air, catching the Alpha's olfactory senses and washing away the stress that's been brewing inside of him.
It reminded him of their childhood days when he would sneak out from the mansion and meet Taehyung at the beach.
He couldn't help but smile at how they were little troublemakers back then in Busan.
They were free and unstoppable.
They can do whatever they wanted and get lost in their own little world, building sandcastles and chasing each other under the waves.
"I see you're grinning like an idiot there." A deep voice chimed in, snapping Jungkook from his trance. He liked this new scent of his.
"I was thinking of...stuff." Jungkook cleared his throat, his eyes trailing off from the blond.
Taehyung raised a brow but didn't question him further. The Alpha kept his mouth closed, knowing that the blond might tease him after if he told him what was up.
"Anyways," Taehyung started, breaking the silence between them. "I came here to give you this."
He handed the younger a white folder and took a seat in front of him. Jungkook thumbed through the papers then scanned each. They were filled with pictures of different people with personal informations written about them.
"I don't understand. I don't recall opening for job positions." His questioning eyes met Taehyung's gleaming ones then continued skimming at the papers or resumes in his hands.
"They're marriage proposals, you silly." Taehyung giggled.
"A what?" Jungkook frowned, his brows knitted together, eyes glaring at the smiling blond.
"Yes, you see.. You're already twenty-four and... mateless." Taehyung paused for a moment to see his reaction before continuing.
"So?" Jungkook leaned back, his darkened eyes not leaving the older.
