"Oh, Mario! Isn't this place wonderful?" Keiko exclaimed as they stepped inside the restaurant. It was fancy looking with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. DaMario, Phoenix, and Ji all felt underdressed with their casual clothing on. Keiko and Pinkie were the only ones dressed up for this special occasion. Keiko has already made reservations so all they had to do was follow the waitress to their booth. As they sat down, DaMario took one of the toothpicks and placed it in his mouth, chewing on one end. "I can't believe my handsome young man is 21! I'm so proud!" Keiko sang happily and kisses her sons cheek, making him grin a bit. "Happy birthday, slug~" Pinkie smirks and playfully punches his arm. He didn't know why she called him slug, but he didn't mind it. "Hun, did you tell Diana which restaurant we were eating at?" Everyone had their eyes on DaMario now. "Who?" Ji asked and looked at Phoenix for an explanation, in which he shrugged and looked at Mario for an answer. "I didn't know you had a girlfriend now, good on you~" Pinkie giggled. "No, she isn't my girl, she's a random that my mom met at a nail salon and thought it'd be nice to invite her and her friend." DaMario explained with a long sigh. The waitress came back and took everyone's order for drinks first. Keiko ordered water, Pinkie ordered some saki and green tea, Phoenix and Ji ordered a regular lemonade, and DaMario ordered a coke. He didn't really know what Diana liked, so he just ordered oolong tea for her and her friend. "Well I can't wait to meet this friend of yours, I bet she's beautiful~" Pinkie added before sipping on her saki. "She certainly isn't ugly, that's a fact.." He mumbled in response and sipped on his coke, which made her grin and nudge his side. "Excuse me, are you two with someone here?" A waiter asked two females that had just walked in. It was Diana and Isis coming in a little late. "Yes, the group over there is who we're with." She points in DaMario's direction. The waiter smiles and leads them to the booth before wandering off the o take care of another table. "Sorry we're late," Isis began, "Diana couldn't figure out a simple outfit to wear." She finished and smirked at her. Rolling her eyes, Diana looks around at everyone who came. "Oh, um-" "Everyone this is Diana and Isis, girls I want you to meet Phoenix, Pinkie, and Ji." Keiko happily introduced the girls. She places her hand on DaMario's shoulder. "Of course, you two already know my son. He ordered your drinks for you, hope you don't mind." Diana eyed her drink and was surprised that it was oolong. "Oolong's my favorite, thank you." She says with a light blush and a smile. Isis sipped her tea and picked up her menu. "I'll be right back, I need to go to the lady's room. If the waitress comes back to take our order, tell her I want the Kobe beef with a side of fried rice." Keiko states before grabbing her purse and stands up. "Diana be a dear and sit next to Mario and keep my seat warm for me~" she requested before disappearing to the restroom. DaMario knew what his mother was up to, and honestly, he could only laugh internally. Isis gave Diana a look then encourages her to get closer to him by gently shoving her to the spot next to him. "Okay okay, don't push me, Jesus.." Not wanting to get too close o him, she sits back down close to the edge of the seat and Sears her throat awkwardly. "So, Diana, right?" Pinkie asked and Diana confirmed with a head nod. Phoenix was too busy gawking at how beautiful Isis was and Ji was trying to engage in a conversation with Mario, but Pinkie and Phoenix were in the way. "You're the girl that came into my nail salon, I remember you~" Diana got a good look at the woman dressed in all pink and smiled. "Oh right, I remember you too. Isis look, it's the lady that did our nails the other day." The blue-haired woman gave Pinkie a sweet smile, then noticed that Phoenix was staring at her. "Like what you see or something?~" Isis sang seductively and rested her chin on her hand while giggling at his blush. The waitress came back and took up the menus before asking them what they wanted to eat for tonight. They all ordered their desired, DaMario ordering for his mother as well. "You uh, look nice." He complimented as he glanced at what Diana was wearing. She was surprised he liked it, it was only a white t-shirt with some blue jeans and sneakers. "Thank you, although I feel underdressed because of how fancy this place looks." She replied back with a nervous chuckle. "Nah, you're fine. Ma wanted me to wear a suit and tie, but that's just doing way too much. I'd rather be comfortable." He says and takes another sip from his coke. Keiko came back and as soon as she did, their food came as well. "Scoot over some dear, let me get in." She says to Diana, not even giving her a chance to say anything back and just sat down next to her, making her scoot even closer to DaMario. So close that their shoulders were touching each other. She must've bumped his arm or something because some of his drink spilled into his lap. "Oh, I'm so sorry! Here, let me just..." Diana grabbed a few napkins and started to place them on his lap and tried to get most of the soft drink out of his pants. Isis saw this and tried her best to contains her laugh. She was sitting across from them and where she was sitting, it looked kind of wrong. Gently, she kicks Diana's legs underneath the table and does a hand motion telling her stop. She looked back at her friend and then up at DaMario who was looking back at her with a small smile. "It's fine, I got it." He states and takes the napkin away from her. After the mess was cleaned up, they all began to eat and talk about their day or what was coming up later on in the week. "You all heard about that Hachiman festival coming up? I kinda wanna go.." Phoenix mentioned before taking a bite from his bulgogi beef. He slightly nudged DaMario's side and he cleared his throat. "You going too, right Cuzzo?" Asked Ji and gave him a look. Diana looked around at everyone as she ate her food. "A festival for Hachiman? Seems like a lot for one person, doesn't it?" "Nah, it's perfectly necessary! That young man does a lot to protect this city~" Keiko added. Pinkie and Isis agreed to go along with Ji and Phoenix. "I guess I'll go to, but only because my family wants to go and I don't wanna be at the house by myself." Diana remarked. DaMario glanced at Diana then cleared his throat. "I'll go to, you know, just for fun." She was mentally fist-pumping now that she knew he was going as well. The rest of the evening went by smoothly, Pinkie had ordered too much saki and was now slurring and cursing at everyone in sight and Ji called her a cab and took her home. Isis and Phoenix were now sitting next to each other and flirting while Keiko, Diana, and DaMario were having their own little conversation. "Diana I'm so happy you came tonight for Mario. I'm sure he appreciates it too." They both look at him. Smiling, he wraps his arm around Diana, which caught her off guard. "Of course I do, you and Isis coming along to support my aggravating ass is a true honor~" DaMario says sweetly and gives her another movie star smile. She noticed for the first time that he had dimples and it was the cutest thing. "I think I'm gonna head out mom. I'll stop by your place for some cake." He states while standing up and giving his mother a kiss on the cheek and a hug. Stepping out of the booth, he looks back at Diana. "You wanna wall with me or is Isis taking you back home?" Diana looked at Isis and she shooed her with her hand, telling her that it was okay for her to walk with him. Winking, she goes back to flirting with Phoenix. "Be careful you two!" Keiko called out to them before they stepped out through the front doors.
