Chapter 22

Its Harry's 21st birthday and Louis is stuck in bed with cramps. Harry is out with Mason getting some ice cream to bring home for Louis. He's almost positive its labor. The cramps are getting more intense and closer together. He counts forty five minutes between cramps, nothing to worry about yet. Henry is still and his stomach is rock hard. Once Harry gets home though Louis voices his concerns as they eat ice cream on the bed.

"Harry. I think I'm in labor" Louis watches as Harry's eyes go wide and he chokes on his spoonful of ice cream.

"W-what? How do you know? Has your water broken yet? I-" Harry is cut off by Louis shoving ice cream in his face.

"I'm having pains that are getting closer together, my stomach is hard and Henry hasn't moved since last night. And no it hasn't yet" Harry nods slowly then relaxes slightly.

"How will we know when its time to go to the hospital?" Harry asks as he eats some more ice cream. Louis shrugs wiping Mason's mouth.

"Either when my water breaks or if that doesn't happen when my contractions are five to ten minutes apart" Harry nods then puts his empty container on his bedside table.

"Alright. Ok. I'm gonna go make sure everything is ready and set to go" Louis rolls his eyes as Harry leaves but he understands. It was a big deal for him with Mason.

*Flashback*

"Mum! My water broke!" Louis calls as he tries to get up from bed. He was happily eating some m&ms when his pants got soaked. He knew he hadn't wet himself so it was obviously the first thing that popped into his mind, plus he's been having contractions on and off all day. Louis mum rushes in and helps Louis up, grabs the bags that Louis packed then helps him down the stairs and into the car.

Louis was in labor for only a few hours before he had to push and nearly an hour later Mason was born. The doctor put Mason on his chest, wrapping him in a towel so he didn't get cold. Louis was crying just as much as the baby was for two reasons. One he just had a baby and was the happiest person alive at the moment and two Harry wasn't here. He was scared and confused. He wasn't sure if he could raise Mason by himself.

*Flashback Over* 

Louis brought out of his thoughts by another contraction, this one stronger then the last and only twenty minutes apart. Mason takes notice of Louis discomfort and begins to cry because he's not sure what else to do. His daddy is hurt and he doesn't know why. Harry comes back into the room then and finds Mason trying to climb onto Louis who is gently trying to keep him away from his stomach so Harry grabs him but Mason struggles and tries to get back down.

"No! Daddy hurt" He cries as Harry tries to calm him down. After twenty minutes he is still crying and begins crying more when Louis gets another contraction.

"Harry call one of our mums or you sister. He needs to calm down and i think him being with someone else will help" Louis says as he shifts around on the bed. He feels like Henry is right between his legs. Harry leaves the room with Mason still crying Louis sighs then calls Nat as he promised her she could come with him to have Henry along with Harry of course.

"What's up Lou!" 

"Nothing much, just in labor is all" he answers casually.

"Tomlinson you better be serious or i'll-" 

"I'm serious Nat. I'm still at home at the moment but i think i'll get Harry to take me to the hospital soon. Were just finding someone to watch Mas"
