Camilla's POV

Hi, My name is Camilla Campbell, I'm 25 years, single, and currently unemployed. Yeah got fired from my last job because I refused to suck the boss's dick. Yeah you heard right, suck dick. Its probably a good thing I got fired, perhaps now I can try to get a job in my field of study. Yeah I'm a graduate, accounting and international business and yet I was working as a waitress at a beat down diner, some would say I was cursed.

I live with my best friend Maria Mendez. We both grew up in the foster care system, we are each other family and if I don't find a job soon, I'll be homeless.

I'm at the apartment that's a one bedroom, with a small kitchen and a small living area turned into my bedroom. I'm seated at the corner because that's where the neighbors WiFi signal is strongest. Yeah we had to steal the douchbag neighbors wifi password and its what I'm using looking at job ads online. I don't wanna settle for a waitress job so waitressing is out of my list of potential jobs.

I hear the door open and I know Maria is back.
"Hey girl, back so soon" my eyes still glued to the laptop.

"Yeah, the boss man left early today, anyways how's the job hunt going? Any luck?" She asks seating besides me.

I sigh, "I wish, I'm cursed. Its like I was created to fail and the only job available is a janitor job at some high school and you know I don't mix well with teenagers".

"OK, I know you want a job in accounting and all but what I'm about to tell you, I need you to be open minded, OK?" Giving me a questionable look.

"Out with it, but it better not be a stripper job" I joke trying to lighten the mood because she's kind of scaring me.

"OK, so Jane at work you know the secretary at work told me the boss man is looking for a babysitter to take care of his 2 kids, its good pay and you get health insurance, if you say yes, I could ask Jane to add you on the list and all you gotta do is pass the interview, I know you good with kids and you can ace this".

Silence

Should I? Ain't got nothing to lose, but I was really hoping I could find something in accounting.

" Fine, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try, thanks Maria". As she pulls her phone and texts Jane. "You had already told her, didn't you?" She gives me an innocent smile that I couldn't help but laugh, this is one of the many reasons why I love her.

"Well, don't get too excited. I might not yet the job". I gotta be realistic.

Her phone beeps and she checks it, " well, prepare yourself girl cause your interview is tomorrow at the Holland Manor, will text you the address".

My heart starting beating at like 92 beats per minute. I have a feeling that I can't quite say or understand.

"That was fast" I say.

"Well Jane told me a few girls interviewed  but the boss man's girlfriend kept rejecting each and everyone of them but you got a charm about you, I have a good feeling I tell you". She's always positive it hurts sometimes but I guess that's what makes us best friends, we are the opposite.

"Well, why don't you help me pick out a childrens' friendly outfit for my interview tomorrow?" Trying to calm my nerves.
