Chapter 6: Jealousy

Dear Diary,
Jenna seriously thinks I'm going soft? Seriously? I'm Evelyn West. I could never go soft, not because of Lily. She's just making me... Never mind! Oh god, someone send help 😬.

Evelyn swung open the door to her favourite makeup store and walked towards the foundation isle.

"Babe what are we doing here? You look beautiful with or without makeup" Lily pouted.

"I doubt that so very much. Without it how could I have ever gotten a girl like you?" Evelyn laughed and planted a kiss on Lily's lips.

Lily laughed and shook her head in disagreement. She began to browse the store as she came across a few things that she found suited her interest. She picked up one of the testers and applied a stroke of mascara to her left eyelash, doing the same with the other eye.

Evelyn headed towards the till with a load of god knows what and payed the girl at the counter. She was quite a skinny girl, pastel pink hair and grey eyes. She smiled at Evelyn as she handed her the foundation.

"It's a good one, don't you think?" The girl said, making eye contact with Evelyn.

"Yeah, it's not too bad. I usually mix them though, they're pretty shit on their own to be honest" She laughed and the girl chuckled.

Lily looked over towards the loud laughs coming from the counter. She watched as the two girls chatted away for a solid 5 minutes, not realising she had been watching for that long.

"You're too pretty to be in here, honey," The girl cooed as she winked at Evelyn. "You'd look good in anything"

Evelyn could feel a blush forming on her cheeks as she put her things into her bag.

"I could say the same about you" She laughed quietly, trying to hide her blush.

The girl reached into her pocket and laid her hand down on the counter, slowly sliding something towards Evelyn. Evelyn picked it up and opened the note.

Fuck.

She scrunched the note up in her hand and slid it into her pocket.

Lily walked towards the counter and moved closer to Evelyn, now sliding her hand into hers as she glared at the girl on the other side of the counter.

"Hey babe" Lily said a little sarcastically.

Evelyn quickly turned her attention towards Lily and smiled.

"Hey"

She quickly pulled Lily into a kiss before glancing back at the girl.

"Aw, aren't you two sweet?" She said, her voice a little angry now.

Evelyn smiled at Lily and gently squeezed her hand tighter.

"Yeah, we are" Lily gritted her teeth slightly and kept her glare focused on the girl.

Evelyn quickly grabbed her things and swung her bag over her shoulder before mouthing a "Thank you" to the girl. They both walked out the shop and Lily exhaled angrily.

"Lily? Are you-"

"The hell was she doing?! Hitting on you like that when she can see I'm right here!"

Evelyn had never heard Lily yell before, it only made her heart throb though. Her girlfriend was getting jealous.

"Baby... Are you jealous?" Evelyn teased.

"N-no, it's just-"

Lily was cut off by Evelyn's lips pressed against her own, which she savoured until Evelyn pulled back.
