There is tale of a creature that has roamed the lands since the existence of light. It has taken many forms and terrorized all things. Though it has survivied for such a long time no name has ewmbedded to it. Men have called it by many, but no soul truly can claim to know.
It follows the light in pursuit of a host. Though it is more than capable of managing on its own, the host will allow it to further grow in strength. Releasing its joy in ways so cruel. It absorbs the host most boiling emotion and fulfills their desire as they so wish.
I have heard it once was referred to as Hyde and another time by the name of Allan. Despite it's name, it's essence has remained the same. All tales state that it's essence has broken the will of man and corrupted them to their very core. Shattering the memory of what the host once was.
I believe differently, however.
I have gathered records of multiple accounts concerning this creature. I have read and re-read every word more than their original writer's. I then compared the actions of the creature with its host personality before infected. To my amazement, the creature did not act so differently.
The creature seemed to allow its host to do sas it pleased. Empowering them to its fullest extent. The action's of which the creature was blamed (in my view) areall choice's the host had made but were, before, too shy or fearful to carry out.
This entity is sheer will. It provides the host with a chance to accomplish its grandest desires. I'm quite certain of this.
The only question still unanswered is how it chooses its host. Is there a pattern I've yet to see or is it all random? I believe there is some reason to how it chooses....but how...
I must know.
I will not rest until I discover the complete truth of this creature.
