Airra’s home was one of a kind as well, with its unique features such as an isolated balcony with roof and a kidney-shaped swimming pool. You wouldn’t recognize that a huge home such as this would only have three people inside. It was a happy family until Roy Seiren, the father of his two daughters lost his life in the fire. Until today Airra was yet to learn the truth about what happened to her father. Whenever Shaina tries to recall of what might happen if her sister is to learn about it, she broke down, on her knees – she was not prepared for what her sister might do afterwards. There were instances wherein Airra was kept on asking her sister but she doesn’t get any response. It became even difficult for Shaina to hide it as time passed by.
It was until one day Shaina was cleaning the swimming pool. Her sister Airra walked behind her, a towel placed on her shoulder and her hair was still wet like she came from a bath. She looked her sister in the eyes. Shaina felt her heart race as the conversation might still be about their father.
“It has been a long time since I last saw father. Why isn’t he going home?” Airra started with a sad look. Shaina felt her heart sank. The sound of Airra was so pitiful it nearly brought tears to her eyes. She tried to endure the pain and tried to speak. “I believe he was busy in his work. I also don’t know the details.” Shaina answered while looking at the swimming pool.
In the end Shaina wans’t able to say to it her sister just like the other days wherein Airra tried to seek for answers. Shaina looked into the morning sky. The sun was about to rise that time and everything was still dark.
“Airra it’s time for school you must go and prepare now.” Shaina says. There was a cold breeze in that morning. Airra had yet to say her questions but like the wind passing through them gently she let her thoughts away. She went back to their home which still had all of its orange lights on from the inside. She walked away with the sad face, she knows that there was something going on.
The sun has risen and Airra was currently on her way to her school. In the way she crossed paths with Ronan. She saw him with by the other side of the street. Shortly after seeing his face her gaze immediately turned down to the floor. She was carrying her light bag with only books and pen to provide. Ronan, together with his sister, saw Airra by the other side of the road. “Yana please go on ahead I have something to do.” Ronan said. Yana, being used with her brother’s excuses, didn’t even bother to ask back. She let her brother to make his way back. Ronan walked but his face is somewhat fast. He climbed the overpass by the road and made his way to the other side. Immediately after walking for a short time he finally reached Airra.
Ronan was about to tap Airra but he noticed that she was looking to the floor while walking. It was like there was something bothering her. Ronan waited for a moment but her mood didn’t change. Ronan felt the early morning chills until he finally decided to approach Airra. Ronan taps her from behind. “What’s wrong Airra?” Ronan worriedly asked. Airra shifted her stare to Ronan who was now walking beside her. The sun had risen already and it was directly in the position of Ronan so when Airra turned her eyes the sun’s bright lights met with her eyes. She covered her eyes immediately until she learns that it was Ronan. Airra waited for a moment until finally coming to a stop as the street was cut by an intersection and the vehicles are still crossing. “Oh it’s you Ronan.” She said in a low voice.
Ronan moved closer to her, leveling his face on her. He then made a confused look while staring directly into her eyes. “Tell me what’s wrong.” He said gently. It caused Airra to turn her stare away as she was greatly embarrassed on how close Ronan’s face was on her. She looked away until answering. “It’s nothing.” Were the words that came from her mouth.
