Chapter 9: Crush Cuffs Pt 1

This is a more fluffy fanfic but I had to add this just to keep it interesting...enjoy this chapter!

I woke up to the smells of mallow melt and blitzenberry muffins. I didn't realize how hungry I was until my stomach started growling.

I quickly got changed into my Foxfire uniform put on some mascara and headed towards the kitchen. The sun wasn't quite up yet which left the sky a darker shade of blue ,the house was well lit and cool.

It was that time of the year where everything started getting cooler ,no snow but just cooler ,so I put on extra layers this morning to keep warm. With the coolness of the crystal walls it didn't help to much.

I got down stairs and sat next to Grady who was enjoying a blitzenberry muffin and reading a scroll. Edaline had just pulled out another fresh batch of mallowmelt and put it in front of me.

"You better eat quick or you'll be late," Edaline said giving me a small smile.

"Oh hey kiddo!" Grady said ,"Sorry I'm just super busy with this right now ,lots of big things coming this week," he said giving me a tight smile.

"Yeah ,Tiergan has something he's been planning with the council today," I said ,only remembering it as I said it. I had almost completely forgotten about the special surprise today.

"Anyways ," I said while stuffing a blitzenberry muffin in my mouth ,"I better head to school ,love you!" And I ran upstairs to the Leapmaster.

I arrived at Foxfire and was greeted by all my friends ,Keefe ,Biana ,Dex ,Tam ,Linh. And Fitz my boyfriend as of recently.
Biana hugged me then whispered in my ear so only I could hear her.

"Fitz told me what happened,I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks," I whispered back.

The bell rang so we all headed to orientation. The same things were announced that were normally said except for a few second years who had manifested as an Empath and Phaser.
Everyone cheered and then headed to their lockers.

As I was putting my stuff away I noticed a small pink box. I opened it and inside were a pair of crush cuffs ,I just looked at them and read the two names , Sophie Foster , Keefe Sencen.
I just reread it over and over trying to believe it.

I just stared at them shocked and all I could think was why. I felt someone tap my shoulder and turned around. Relieved. It was Fitz and I pulled him in for a hug.

"What are those?" And before I could say anything he grabbed them and the anger of his expression rose until he was bright red.

"Why did he...are you gonna..." he never finished the sentences but he was mad ,really mad.

"No Fitz ,of course not I want you ,I would never wear them okay I promise," I said grabbing the sides of his face gently so he would look at me.

It took him a while to process everything ,but he finally calmed down and looked at me again.

"I know ,I just don't understand why he would do this to me he knows how much I like you!" He said pulling me into a hug.

I kept eye contact and through them in the trash assuring that I was Fitz's and he was mine. I felt a little guilty throwing them away but what else am I supposed to do stash them. Keefe has no right to do that to Fitz ,to make him feel uncomfortable.

I kissed Fitz ,it was short but it wasn't just a peck either.

"You should go to class." I said smiling at him.

"Yeah you should too," he said grinning back at me.

I gave him one last kiss on the cheek and walked off to my first class. Today was going to be a long day and a hard one especially for Keefe.

Sorry it was a super short chapter but it will be divided into two parts!
