Virgil POV

I was in my room on my computer at 3 AM. I had been reading the news, the headlines were "Teenaged Boys Go Wild" and "Teenaged Murderers". My brothers, Remus and De, and I were those murderers. Of course, the public didn't know that. We weren't careful and drank people's blood without knowing someone was watching. Oh yeah, my family and I are vampires if you haven't caught on. We all have different powers though. We still have super speed, super strength, and we can all see and hear very well but we all have individual powers that make us... Unique. Mine is looking into people's pasts.
"Virgil stop clicking your mouse so many times so god damn fast!" De, my eldest brother, slammed open my door. I just rolled my eyes and looked at him. "What are you doing up anyways?! We have school in 3 hours!"
"I'm making sure no one knows we were the ones who killed those people, dumb ass." I looked back at my computer and turned it off.
"You worry to much." He growled and slammed my door shut. I honestly don't wanna go to this stupid school. Not like I'm gonna be making any friends. I'm a loser emo kid. I sighed and put my laptop on my nightstand. "DAMN STRAIGHT YOU'RE A LOSER EMO KID!" De called from across the hall, laughing. He can read minds and it's annoying.
"DECEIT AND VIRGIL MARBELL GO THE HELL TO SLEEP!" Our father yelled from his and mom's bedroom. I sighed and cursed under my breath. I rolled onto my side and fell asleep.

~Time Skip~

I was sitting at the coffee table after a rude awakening by Remus. He decided it was a good idea to pour water all over me to wake me up. Now that I was in a pissy mood, I didn't feel like eating. I was glaring at Remus, who was silently eating cereal. Deceit was also silent because of the fear of me snapping. They know I'm not a morning person. Once they were finished, they put on their shoes and backpacks while I put my sweatshirt and backpack on.
"Are you guys ready or what?" I mutter, putting my headphones on. They nod and we walk out the door and to our bus stop. De and Remus were goofing off while I silently waited for the bus. Some kid walked over to me and waved, starting to talk. Obviously I didn't hear them all that well because of my headphones and my music being loud as hell. I heard a few words like 'hi', 'brothers', and 'name' but that was it. I slowly took my headphones off and stared at him. "I'm sorry?"
"Oh! You're music was to loud huh? I asked if those were your brothers and my name is Patton Park!" He smiled.
"Sadly yes, those are my brothers and it's nice to meet you, Patton." I was about to put my headphones back on before he stopped me.
"What's your name?" He tilted his head, a slight frown on his face.
"Virgil Marbell." I mumbled and turned my music off, knowing I won't be able to listen to it anymore.
"Well Virgil, I hope we can be friends! I have a friend that goes on this bus as well. His name is Remy. He's really cool, you'll like him. I love your make up as well! Do you do it yourself?" I nodded silently. He kept going on and on until the bus got there and the four of us got on. "Remy! There's new kids!" Patton said, sitting next to a kid in a leather jacket with sunglasses. He looked at me as I sat in the seat next to them.
"Girl, he looks like he hasn't slept in years." This Remy character sipped what looked like coffee and stared at me. I shifted uncomfortablely under his stare and looked at my feet. "The name's Remy Cliff." He looked back at his phone and took anothr sip of coffee.

"Virgil Marbell." I repeat for him and look at my own phone. I scroll through the news and read the articles.
"Oh! Remy have you heard about those killings in that town in New Jersey?" Patton looked at Remy as he nodded.
"I watch the news, girl. Apparently those kids were teenagers." I stiffen and look at Remus and De, who were sitting behind Remy and Patton. They looked at me then at each other. We all gave each other silent glances and De started talking in our heads.
"If they ask about were we came from DON'T say New Jersey, got it?" Remus and I nodded.
"Hey Girl, who do you think killed these people?" Remy looked at me and I shrugged.
"Murderers obviously. Also just call me Virgil not 'Girl'." I rolled my eyes and continued scrolling through the news. Patton giggled at my comment and Remy huffed. Soon we got to school and Patton was dragging me, Remy, De, and Remus up to two other people. One looked like a teacher and the other looked like a jock.
"Guys these are the new students! They're really cool! This is Virgil, De, and Remus Marbell."
"Salutations." The teacher looking one waved with a straight face.
"Hello!" The jock one smiled at me and my brothers.
"Virgil, Remus, and De this is Roman Prince and Logan Walles." I shyly waved as my brother said hellos. Roman kept his eyes on me for a bit before turning to talk with Patton and De. From then on I was a bit anxious. He probably thinks I'm weird like everyone else did at the old school. I'm sure the rest of them think I'm weird too. My brothers are energetic, happy, and talkative while I'm shy, closed off, and silent. I thought while playing with the ends of my sleeves. I felt a hand on my shoulder so I looked up. Remy had his sunglasses up and his eyes glowed a bit purple. He sipped on his coffee and let go of my shoulder, putting his glassed back down. Is he a-
"RIIIIIIIIING." Everyone said their goodbyes and scattered leaving me with Remy.
"We have the same schedule. I checked your's while you were playing with your sleeve and thinking." He shrugged and led me to our first class.
"Remy I have a question." He hummed and sipped his coffee. "You wouldn't happen to believe in vampires do you?"
"Honey, hand me your phone." He put his hand in front of me.
"That's not an answer." I huffed, reluctantly taking out my phone and giving it to him. He typed in something and handed it back to me. It was his phone number. Okay then.
"Text me later and I'll answer the question. Come on. We'll be late." He pulled me to class. We got there just before the bell and we sat at a table together. I slightly came out of my shell and talked with him most of the period since the teacher wasn't teaching anything. We joked and laughed most of the time. Remy talked about himself a bit and I told him a few things about myself.
As the day went in me and Remy became good friends and he stood up for me when people would call me names. First day of school I got a good friend and a few bullies. That's a new record. At lunch we sat with Patton, Logan, De, and Remus. Roman was with his theater friends. De and Remus were surprised when Remy and I were laughing and telling jokes with each other. Probably because I never have any friends.
On the bus, I decided to text Remy before I forgot. I opened my phone and went to my messaging app.
