Chapter Ten

Roman's POV

I've been floating around in darkness for a while. I mean I don't have a stab wound in my chest and I don't feel any pain but where am I? I haven't seen a light or anything in what has felt like days.
Out of nowhere there's this big bright light. I squint and put my hand in front of my face. Suddenly I was in a room. I was in a bed with machines hooked up to me. Wait I'm in a hospital? So I'm not dead? YAY!
I move my hand away from my face slowly and move my head to the side. On the other side of the room was a door that was closed. Next to me was a small desk full with flowers and get well soon cards. I smile slightly. Then, sadly, I'm stuck with a massive amount of pain in my chest. I groaned and focused on the flowers to distracted myself.
Soon a nurse came in, probably to check on me. When I waved, she immediately dropped her clipboard and said she would be back. She came back with a doctor a few minutes later.
"Nice to see you awake, Mr. Prince. I'm Dr. Giordano. You've been out for 6 weeks." He smiled kindly and walked over. Wait... Did he say... Did he say 6 weeks?!
"6 weeks?" I asked barely above a whisper. I haven't talked in a while, what do you expect? "Is Virgil okay?" He chuckled a bit.
"Mr. Marbell is fine. He and his friends visit you everyday. In fact, they should be arriving any minute. They always come at this time." He smiled. "Mr. Cliff always asks about your state, he must really care about you." I chuckle.
"Best friends for 4 years." He chuckled and left with the nurse. About 10 minutes later the gang came in. I looked at them and smile. "Guess who's back bitches." I stick my tongue out. They all stop dead in their tracks, all with shocked faces. "Looks like you guys seen a ghost." I laugh. Patton ran over and put me in a bone crushing hug. "Super strength! Super strength!"
"Oops! Sorry Ro!" He lets go and smiles. Logan walked over and fist bumped me awkwardly. Remy came over and started crying.
"Aw, no Rem, come here." I opened my arms and he hugged me. We hugged for a good 5 minutes. He got up and looked at Virgil. He was still standing at the door. I smiled at him and held out my hand. He inched his way to me then took my hand. Everyone left the room and Virge pulled over a chair. "Has anyone told you how cute you are?" I giggled. He sighed shaking his head, smirking.
"How are you feeling?" He muttered.
"I'm a bit sore but other than that, I'm fine. I felt like I slept for 100 years though!" He laughed and played with my hand. "How have you been?"
"Most of my wounds healed. All my broken bones are healed. I have lots of scars." He mumbled. "Mentally, I don't know. I've had multiple break downs, anxiety attacks, and my depression has gotten worse." He teared up. "I was so afraid to lose you. I still am." I sighed and pulled him closer. He cried and I kissed his forehead head.
"I'm not going anywhere." He snuggles closer to me and continues crying. Soon he fell asleep while I pet his head. The other 3 came in and said their good byes. Logan put Virge on his back and they left.

~Time Skip~

I found out on the news that Remus and De had been caught and put in the Juvenile Detention Center since they were to young to go to prison. Virgil says he's visited them a few times.

Anyways, I'll be getting out of the hospital tomorrow and I'm excited. I get to go back to school! I haven't seen the teachers and students, minus Virgil, Logan, Remy, and Patton, in 7 weeks! I had to stay in the hospital for a few more days to make sure I started eating regularly and other stuff. I smiled to myself and started falling asleep, since it was 9 P.M. and I'm tired as hell because I didn't sleep much last night.

~Time Skip, Virgil's POV~

Roman gets out of the hospital today. I'm in the car with Remy to go pick him up. We've all been really excited and can't wait. Luckily, it's the end of the school year so we only have a few days of school left. I'm so happy, it's finally summer.
When Remy and I got to the hospital, he parked the car and I got out. We went in the hospital and to Roman's room. I ran over to the bed and shook him.
"Wake up sleephead!" He groaned and rolled onto his side. "Yo! It's time for you to get out of the hospital man!" His eyes immediately opened and he sat up quickly.
"Finally! After all these years!" He fist bumped the air while I laughed. A doctor came in later and unhooked Roman from all the machines. Once the doctor left, I threw new clothes at Roman and he went to his bathroom to change. He came back in his new outfit and his hair brushed. "Alright, time to go home!" He smiled and put his hair brush in his bag that I had brought a few days ago. I picked up the bag and we all headed out. Roman signed out of the hospital and got in the car with us. We drove to Roman's place and got out of the car. His family hugged him as he walked to the door. Charlie glared at me then smiled at Remy. I shifted uncomfortablely. This was to be expected. I'm the brother of the ones who put Roman in the coma.
"I'm gonna be in the car." I smiled at Remy and opened the car door. His smile faded but he nodded then went into the Prince household. I got in the car and sighed.
Suddenly, there was a little click noise of the doors locking. I looked at the handle on the door and tried opening it. I looked out the window and stared at Charlie. He was still outside in front of the house.
The car started moving as Charlie smirked. I hit the window multiple times but it didn't even crack. God damn it Remy. Why did you have to get windows like this?! I looked ahead and squeaked. There was a lake in front of me and I was heading straight to it. I quickly took out my and texted Remy and the others, asking for help. Remy immediately ran outside but it was to late. Roman's little brother made the car go faster and it went in the water. I put my phone in a zip block bag that I had gotten earlier because we were planning on hanging out at the pool later today to celebrate Ro's return. I put it in my pocket and watched the water slowly rise. Remy had come over and is trying to break the door off. Soon, Logan was here and had tried to break the window.
See, I'm not a normal vampire and I already told the guys this. I'm not entirely dead. I can still die like any human could and I won't become an actual vampire. I'd just be dead.
Soon the car was half way full of water. I looked at Remy and put my hands on the glass. I started crying as he put his hands on the glass as well. He took his hands off the glass and tried breaking it again. I backed away from it and kicked it full force. The glass cracked slightly but more water started pouring in. I kicked it again and the crack became bigger. I took a breath of air and went under water. I punched the glass and Logan signaled me to move. I did and he finally broke the glass and Remy pulled me out. We swam to the top. When we got to the top, I immediately started coughing and gasping for air.
Logan helped me to land and sat me down. We were under water for about 10-20 minutes. Remy looked out at the lake and sighed.
"I just payed it off too." He then looked at Charlie, who was standing near us, and stormed over to him. "He could have been killed you psychopath!"
"My brother could have been killed!" He fought back. Remy pushed him to the ground and growled.
"Virgil wasn't a part of it! If you can't get that into your stupid little head, then you can just-"
"Remy," Logan interrupted. "Now is not the time." Remy glared at Charlie before walking back over to us.
"Stupid vampires." Ro's little brother hissed out. Remy turned around and growled. Lo sighed and pulled him down to sit next to us.
"I'm going to get Mrs. Prince." He stood up and pulled Charlie by the arm. He dragged him to the house where the rest of the Prince family, and Patton, were. Roman ran past them and slide down next to me.
"I am so so so so sorry for him, Virgil." He hugged me.
"It's whatever ya know? Not like someone has tried to kill me like that before." I laughed and rubbed the back of my head.
"Wait what?" Remy and Roman said in sink. I slapped a hand over my mouth. They gave each other a look then gave the look to me.
"Virge, what in the name of God are you not telling us?" Rem raised an eyebrow.
"It's nothing." I muttered and got up, wobbling a bit.
"Virgil Marbell sit back down." Roman pulled me to his lap. I struggled against him. "Why do you wanna leave so bad now?"
"Just leave me alone, alright?! I don't wanna talk about it!" I scratch at Roman's arms and kick at Remy as he tries to grab my hands. "Just let go of me! I just wanna be left alone!" I started crying again. Logan and Mrs. Prince ran over. Mrs. Prince had a syringe in her hand and put it in my exposed arm. I whimpered and stopped fighting against them. Slowly, I slipped into darkness and fell asleep.
