File: Patrons

Patrons are the powerful beings that give some characters the powers they have, or in some cases merely watch over them. It varies depending on the patron, character, and who I need to have them for the sake of plot convenience.

The currently known characters with patrons are Error, Ink, Fresh, Dream, and Nightmare.

Now, to explain the various patrons...

Fate
Ink's patron and a powerful goddess with control over... well, fate. She is the opposite of Destiny, believing that she can control everything. She can't control everything, but she refuses to accept that.

Destiny
Error's patron and a goddess with control over the threads of destiny. She cannot directly interfere like Fate, but she can derail Fate's plans over time. She knows that choices are up to mortals, and she accepts that. She has limited power, but will do anything to help her chosen regain his freedom. Error was her chosen long before he entered the Anti-Void...

Order and Chaos
The Multiversal bookkeepers. They can be a bit nutty, but they're willing to help Destiny, as they don't like what Fate's done to the delicate balance they created. Their chosen, Dream and Nightmare, are in control of dreams and emotions- something that Fate cannot force to do her bidding.

Balance
The silent patron of Fresh, Balance doesn't speak a word- instead, it opens the pathways for Fresh so he can be where he's needed most.
